As for part 3, and many of the people who have been suggested, here are some of my opinions...
The Rock: If he is in it, he needs to be a bad guy, or at most someone like Hobbs in Fast Five, who is out to get the Expendables, but then has to team up with them. I would prefer he stays as a bad guy, and he can be Terry Crews's big one-on-one fight, since he hasn't really had one.
Kurt Russell: Like someone has already said, he needs the eye patch. Also, I would like to hear him bring out some Jack Burton quotes.
Vin Diesel: If he is in it, he needs to channel his inner Pitch Black-era Riddick. He needs to be a deadly badass.
Antonio Banderas: If he shows up, there better be either a guitar or guitar case around.
Liam Neeson: It has been said that he needs to be the villain. I agree. In fact, what I want is Neeson as the main villain, but also a former member of Stallone's team. Maybe they think he died on a mission years ago. When he shows back up, he gets to deliver a line about being "immortal". The movie starts basically with a killing spree, with former members of the team getting picked off one by one, which would be perfect cameos for guys like...
Carl Weathers (unless they make him Terry Crews's dad like I have suggested before), Roddy Piper, Keith David, Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, etc.
