How come there's no accompanying blogging music?
That's the Meeting Victor track.
When they meet him he's pwning ****lords.

It's amazing that, outside of a second in the 20th or so tv spot, we haven't heard one of the main characters SPEAK.

I don't really even expect a fight with Doom to last 15 minutes. It might build up to that for 15 minutes, but the actual fight is probably going to be less than 5. The one in FF (2005) was only about that where they all took him on at once.
So FFINO is only 100 minutes. That's slightly shorter than the Tim Story 2005 FF movie, and only slightly longer than FF: ROTSS. And even FF (2005) felt short.
Not that we would want Trank to stretch out this turd for too long.
As much as I want to root for this movie considering how much I like the actors involved, Fox seems to be doing little to nothing to promote it and the fact they've set up a Wednesday night press screening here in Seattle, leaving little to no time for print press to review it is alarming...
Maybe that thing I posted earlier is accurate and they are holding off the press screenings until the last second.
Isn't that nearly as bad as not holding a press screening?
Wait, isn't the New Zealand release date supposed to be the 30th? If its the 30th why are they getting their premiere on the 5th?

Reminds me of Venom's situation in Spider-Man 3.As far as the final fight and how the movie is structured, most damning to me is the soundtrack listing:
Domashev is apparently out of action from around Track 14 to Track 22. He's apparently strapped to a TABLE for what? A third of the movie? And then they go from him getting back to Planet Zero, them following him, fighting him, beating him, and the end credits in...what? 15 minutes? 20 at the MOST?
That's bad. Really bad.
It says in cinemas August 6th in the article. Maybe IMDB is wrong
Edit: Looked on 2 cinema chains websites in New Zealand, both say August 6th in their coming soon sections, and also just found one that says 30th July
That wouldn't surprise me.If you wanted to be really cynical you could say that they are doing as they don't trust embargos to be enough to hold the critics back with this film :P
As cynical as I am about this production I'm still pretty shocked that Fox could actually be waiting until the 5th or 6th for press screenings. That is really last minute, many reviewers won't have the reviews finished before the film is released... and its hard not to ignore the suspicion that it is deliberate.
They did this before for Green Lantern.
They typically hold no press screening or the day before it's release because they feel the movie is going to take a pounding.

I still don't know why Campea is looking forward to this film.[YT]watch?v=_pkvMUN0glM[/YT]
The redhead and Christian are definitely being more reasonable in this venture. John is way too optimistic, and his reasons for being excited are not very good. The Amazing Spiderman 2 could have used the same defense prior to release. Mark Webb's first directorial effort was a hit just like Trank's Chronicle, the cast, which featured Garfield, Stone, Giamatti, Fields, Foxx, Dehaan are all worthy talents, and proven their worth. Mediocre writers, Kurtzman/Orci (Yes, Kinberg is not a good writer, Campea needs to realize that).
I think the most damning thing is he still thinks Trank is a good director. Trank only has 1 movie under his belt. That is not enough to consider him great. Promising, yes, but far from an established talent. Look at Neil Blomkamp, first directorial work was District 9 (Which was a better movie than Chronicle imo), and since then he's never lived up to his first hit. Who's to say Trank will deliver? Especially considering they are heavily reshooting Trank's vision of the film, which only suggest they weren't happy with what he offered. And these are not just being reported by small gossip websites, but even reputable ones.
Being optimistic is fine, but blind optimism , whilst disregarding all of the anecdotal evidence is pretty much reckless.
And this is coming from someone who was originally looking forward to the film following the first teaser, so I'm not speaking from some pre-disposed bias. If someone like me can see something is alarming, then it be wise for everyone hoping this is good too as well.
OMG, this.I love that those guys in that video are talking about all this uphill battle stuff...
TWO WEEKS before the movie comes out!
The battle is lost! The battle started when the first trailer was released and they have suffered defeat after defeat ever since.
And the general public isn't even aware or at very best is ambivalent to this movie.
