he looks enough like him, and if its hair color? dye, a certain feature? prothstetics, the guy who played young johnny blaze has a prothstetic on his nose so he looked more like Cage

If they ever made Entourage the movie Logan Lerman would be the first on the list

Lerman told MTV a few weeks back that he knew nothing about anything and had not been contacted by Sony. Everyone on here got sad then. Now it seems he auditioned.

lerman said he had heard nothing since, not that he hadn't been contacted

Whatever his age, Lerman looks really young. Like, mid-teens young. I'd want a senior highschool look at the least.

Anton's my pick.

Aaron yes. Anton looks nothing like Peter Parker.

If Aaron or Lerman get it, I will be happy.

In terms of looks AND talent. Lerman doesn't even come close.

Lerman looks just like Peter Parker. Anton looks nothing like Peter Parker. In terms of acting, yes Anton is better but there are a plethora of better actors than Anton that don't all to well resemble Peter that could be tapped into as well. Lerman isn't a bad actor anyways. He was fine in Lightning Thief.

We need a young who can grow with the role, i.e. Logan!
I don't want a 30+ actor playing a twentysomething Peter again

I dont buy this.

Anton is the better actor and has demonstrated his skills as a Peter Parker like character in Charlie Bartlett.

Just because he resembles Harry a bit more he should be automatically cast as that character?

I'll never understand this "Doesn't look like Peter Parker" thing.

Does Peter Parker really have that much of a rigid, defined "look" for one actor to be so much more suited for the part? It's not about look. It's about the characteristics. Peter Parker is supposed to be a geek. A dweeb. The kind of kid who when people insinuate that he may in fact be Spider-Man, it's a joke.

Since it looks as if the new films will be based in the Ultimate Universe, yes. One artist defined the look of Peter there. And as much as I'd like Yelchin more than Lerman as Peter, Lerman does look more like Ultimate Peter than Yelchin. I just think Yelchin is a better actor, can give funnier more natural quips, and a better on screen personality. If we're talking looks alone, than Lerman.

exactly, Tobey for one looked nothing like my image of Parker, i always imagien him with more "edged" features not so much round ones

So?

Even if they do explicitly go out of their way to base it on USM, who cares if Peter Parker doesn't have the exact same haircut, built, and weight?

"Defined" is a stretch. When people picture Peter Parker as a solitary character, there is no one definitive look. Some like S: TAS Peter, some like Tobey, some like USM, some like ASM, some like Spectacular, and it goes on.

Even if you're doing a straight up adaptation of USM, there's absolutely no reason to go out of your way to make sure the character looks 115% like the exact drawings. IMO, that's an archaic way of thinking through a comic adapation.

Hugh Jackman was significantly taller than comic Wolverine. But now he's the most iconic Marvel movie character to date. Does it really matter?

Then this brings up the Glover for Spider-Man defense again.

I lol at the folks who honestly think this will be a page for page adaptation of USM.

Naturally. It's a drastic change from our "classical" interpretation of the character. I wouldn't defend it, though, simply because I don't think Glover can play a high school kid.

Yelchin may have been smirky/witty in Charlie Bartlett but he has also played reserved characters and he himself is a very reserved person. Lerman hasn't been in a role that called for him to be smirky/witty so he may be the perfect Peter Parker for all we know. He certainly looks the part. Aaron also is a good Peter Parker and Kick Ass showed that but he is a bit too old and if this series is high school based, will Aaron look that young 9 years from now when he is 30?

Did you even read the rest of my post? I'm just saying if we're talking looks alone Lerman has it. Yelchin would be the better choice all together though because he embodies the character and looks pretty close himself.

Who said this will be a "page for page adaptation of USM?" I LOL at people that can't remember what people actually post before posting themselves.

Ultimate Spiderman full adaptation would be ideal

I'll entertain the idea of Lerman getting it over Yelchin because he looks like Peter and I think could do a fair job. But I can't entertain the idea of Aaron getting it. He doesn't look like Peter, he isn't a good actor, and he is just, sorry, but really really annoying.
