It all goes back to WB panicking after MoS was so divisive among the fans and public.Black Adam looked like an episode of JLU filmed in Snydervison and that didn't help at all. This universe was ****ed the second Man of Steel was changed from a stand alone franchise to the jumping off point for a cinematic universe.
Yep and it did the story this film tried to tell better with a fraction of the budget.
I haven't seen this movie yet and won't for a while, so maybe so?
But the CW version of Flashpoint was unconscionably terrible.

Things should have changed right then and there.
MoS would/could have been a good starting point if WB had only changed directors after MoS.
But they didn't, and they instead doubled down and added batman and WW in the 2nd film.
they even went and killed superman way too soon.
We are where we are because of WBs past unwillingness to listen to the public and fans and make the changes that were needed.
Despite being worth billions, studios don't always know best.
Someone should have been a bit concerned when they found out about Superman dying in that film.It all goes back to WB panicking after MoS was so divisive among the fans and public.

They added a Batman who was already past his prime. Then a Wonder Woman who stood on the sidelines for a hundred years. Then took probably Superman’s most recognizable storyline and shoved it into the 3rd act.It all goes back to WB panicking after MoS was so divisive among the fans and public.

And now they have their internal screeners praising Flash like it's the best CBM ever. They need better people who know CBMs to be doing this job. The verdicts of people who have no passion for/knowledge of CBMs aren't going to accurately tell you when something does or doesn't hit the mark. The critical reaction to BvS caught WB completely off guard. Before the film came out their internal screenings had people praising it left and right. They clearly had nobody in charge who knew anything about these characters or stories.

I must not remember the episodes of the TV series where Barry teamed up with an older Batman and himself to stop Zod's invasion.
As far as telling the story of The Flash better? Well, yeah. That's because it's a TV series with entire seasons to devote to storylines and characters and not limited to two hours. I've yet to see a TV series that doesn't do a complex narrative "better" than most movies due to its longform storytelling potential.
Eh, I'd say we're where we're at BECAUSE they listened to the public and fans and made drastic changes instead of gradual ones. People whined about too much violence and no worldbuilding in MAN OF STEEL and Batman and Wonder showed up in BVS with limited stakes and an entire slate of shared universe films was announced. General audiences whined about BVS being too dark and grim and JUSTICE LEAGUE all but fell apart because of that concern. And on and on we go. Their abrupt reactions to things alienated core fans and casual fans alike and didn't win them many new ones. But it certainly isn't that they didn't listen to fans.
If I read one more “scoop” about 5 minute standing ovations during an internal screening, I’m going to laugh my ass off
Could very well happen. Exhibition is going to have some…interesting calls to make on what films get the PLF screens next weekend.I’ll be curious how much this will drop next weekend. It doesn’t have any competition until Indy. I imagine a 70% drop isn’t impossible though.

Definitly possible.
However, word of mouth seems to gain momentum slowly.
Heard from a lot of people, fans and casuals that they are curious and want to check it out.
I expect 50% for sure.
I know Gunn had nothing to do with the making of this movie, but the way he gushed about it and now giving Andy the director gig for Batman gives me pauseThe test screening reports, the Studios statements, and alot of the hype by the Geek Pundits, is just one, of the many things that makes The Flash's failure so colossal.
A film which is touted as being " exceptional " ,but ultimately gets the similar reception , from the GA, to other films like Black Adam and Shazam 2 .
Not a great ego boost.
Don't be obtuse. You know exactly what I'm talking about with the Flash TV show. They both do Flashpoint and the TV show handles it much better. The key difference here is folks behind The Flash TV show have read more Flash stories than just Flashpoint where the folks behind the movie clearly didn't. I'm so glad this version of this franchise is dead.
