I thought the Flash was supposed to be a symbol of hope.

If anything, it looks like his new TV costume is bringing about a lot of discord.

It's weird that the material of the clothing worn by actual real-life speed runners in the Olympics and other sporting events is more like that of the Flash's comic costume than what The Flash is wearing in this show.

Agreed. All you need is to put some decent textures on it, like they did with the ASM costume, so it doesn't look boring, and you're good to go.

Those speed suits look good and would work really well but they'd have to change the cowl as the head would look too bobbly compared to the rest of the body.

I dig the suit for the most part. Wish it was a little brighter in color, and the background for the symbol was white instead of red, but hey... It still looks cool. The Flash is one of my favorites. (I'll admit I haven't read much older Flash comics, just the more current runs.)

- I still remember when we saw the suit for Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man and everyone was saying how awful it looked in those street pics... Comparing it to a basketball. I thought it looked pretty bad too, but in the film, I thought it looked pretty great. Maybe The Flash suit will look better on screen.

Can't wait for this show though.

Yeah, I was trying to do a manip of a few of the suits but couldn't get the color to replace properly. I think the cowl will look fine with the suits if the suits were patterned and textured like the Spider-Man suit. I wouldn't mind the fake muscle padding and shading like that in Raimi's Spider-Man suit or Thor's suit, as opposed to just shading and no muscle padding in the ASM1&2 suits.

Speaking of which what do you guys prefer the muscle padding and shading in Raimi's Spider-Man suit or the sans padding in the ASM2 suit? Or even the ASM1 suit?

I don't mind a combination of the two but only to accentuate and not go over board like they did with the earlier Flash series.

Found this user on Instagram this morning. All it is is a morph suit, with some air brusing, and a home made logo. Really affective. I still like the official one they came up with, but it makes you wonder if they tried out something as simple as this before coming up with what they did. I would love to see this kind of suit with some subtle texturing over the top. Might look a lot like the excellent Man of Steel costume?

Admittedly this guy here is still working on the cowl he says, so perhaps that was the deal breaker for the official costume, because that cowl does look great.

Just because a costume isn't exactly how it is in the comics doesn't mean it's "bad" or anything...Spiderman's costume just happens to fit right onto live action. So...the comparison's weird to begin with. Suck it up and deal with it.

thank you. i don't know why people seem to think that costumes make a comic book movie/show/whateverelse good. in my opinion The Dark Knight had a silly looking Batsuit but was still my favorite comic book movie of all time. it all has to do with the tone in my opinion at least.

Erm, I'm not sure anyone here has been commenting on the shows costume as a way of commenting on the quality of the show. Since y'know, they havn't even finished shooting the pilot, I'd say it's a bit early to start judging. And since we can't very well discuss the quality of the show itself, what we can do in the interim is discuss the costume. In the costume thread.

Just ask one of the companies that manufactures the sports suits to make one in RED color with some texture, that way it will be made free of cost as the companies could have some free advertising, and it will ensure good quality.

They already have cowl.
