Still better than Quicksilver in DoFP. Though to be fair, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't in their actual costumes, that's their civilian attire. Pretty sure I heard by the end of the movie, they'll have their costumes.

So you're giving Avengers Quicksilver the benefit of the doubt because he's in his civilian attire, but holding something against DOFP Quicksilver, who is also clearly in civilian attire?

He at least looks like he's dressed for running, not in jeans and a silver jacket. The silver hair and the jacket, he just really looks like a jackass.

I'm gonna hold up on judgment on the QS till I actually see the movie. However AOU's looks like a costume, that's not trying to be one ala Smallville.

I just finished re-watching this series. It still holds up, and the costume looks great for the most part.

Modern materials with better breathable qualities would negate the requirement for the bulky cooling system and enable something sleeker. Change the cowl and then its golden. Maybe make an effort to get some yellow on the boots.

Modernized 90s Flash suit>...............................gustin's outfit

Gustin's suit has grown on me a lot more, but still. All the different materials, the terrible color, the chest emblem, the looseness of the suit....
it could be better. i'm hoping that they continue to improve the suit as the show progresses.

Flash's comics suit is perfect as is imo, and literally every single creative change they made to the original design was a mistake imo.

I'm fine with live action making some changes when adapting comic books, when it works. Bane is a perfect example of this. But in this case, I personally just don't think this costume works particularly well.

From what i understood, the response to the suit was pretty mixed. It didn't receive unanimous praise or anything.. and the praise that i noticed seemed to be more like "oh yeah, it's the Flash, that looks pretty good. For a tv show." and less "omg, that suit is amazing, i love it!"

In fact, i noticed very few overwhelmingly positive responses like that, once they released the full body shot of the suit. The reactions were much better when it was just the cowl that was released.

The bottom line is that this suit is nowhere near perfect. It's serviceable, and it isn't a complete abomination, but it isn't great or perfect. it's in between okay and good.

The damn emblem on the new suit is the only thing that pisses me off. Why a red background? Why?!?!

I could deal with the ugly red background on the Flash chest logo if the red was the same color as the rest of the suit. It would look similar to the way the bolts on his ears look, just on his chest.

When I first saw the costume I kinda stopped caring about this, honestly. The last 6 episodes of Arrow changed my mind, though. Some of the best live-action comic book stuff I've seen in years. I can't wait for the trailer.

Yup. I can't wait for this show, but I mostly can't wait because I'm such a fan of what they've done with Arrow season 2.

The costume could've been a lot worse, but it also could've been a lot better.

I showed 3 of my non-biased, non-comicbook fans the Flash suit, and none of them really approved. They noted the bagginess as a problem.

All i really care about is the story tho. And I'm confident that this story will be good... Arrow has been amazing.

I hope then if and when the Flash gets a series order and it progresses that the Flash costume will get some tweaks with some yellows.

looks like they are upping the saturation of the costume in the promotional material for this show. it looks WAY better this way imo. the shade of red was one of my primary criticisms, if they correct that, the suit would be so much better. And change the damn chest logo!

I'm afraid the logo's here to stay.
