“Who is Harrison Wells?” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

JOE AND CISCO TRAVEL TO STARLING CITY FOR ANSWERS ABOUT DR. WELLS — Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) head to Starling City to continue their investigation of Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). While in town, the duo enlists the help of Captain Lance (guest star Paul Blackthorne), and Cisco meets the Black Canary (guest star Katie Cassidy), who asks him for a favor. Meanwhile, back in Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) races to catch a meta-human named Hannibal Bates (guest star Martin Novotny) who can transform himself into every person he touches – which includes Eddie (Rick Cosnett), Iris (Candice Patton), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and even The Flash. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Cortney Norris (#119)

So I guess this explains the whole Eddie shooting cops in the paleyfest promo

This was mentioned in a different thread but hopefully laurel's favor is asking Cisco for a canary cry device

its a damn shame they arent using grant in the movie, dudes perfect as the flash

She already has a couple of those.

Sure, she may have those sonic grenades (stolen from Batman, clearly :o), but I'm sure there's plenty of us who would like to see a more faithful Canary Cry-even if it means some sort of choker necklace design which highly amplifies her screams.

Atom shrinking and the existence of a semi-proper Canary Cry would make a lot of us happy, I'm sure. They're honestly among the things I hope to see most before or during the finales.

No. First they're not sonic grenades, grenades are devices meant to be thrown, they're more of a hand held sonic projector, and they're same ones Sara used in her first appearance as the Canary.
I do agree though, I also would like to see a proper Canary Cry.

Well pardon me for my not using your preferred description. You still understood perfectly what I meant and you could have replied without the mild attempt to insult my intelligence.

I'm more than aware of what they are and how they originally appeared.

Sorry for utilizing the term grenade instead of writing out hand-held sonic projection device. I suppose I should apologize for the Batman comment followed by the sarcasm emoticon as well, eh?

I would hope that, if Laurel does eventually get a canary cry, it's done through a sort of meta-human power rather than technology. Maybe some sort of accident involving one of the devices?

Just a thought (although someone else has probably said it already) maybe Cisco will replicate the technology that Hartley Rathaway used, since he can certainly build similar devices - hell, he can build the cold and heat guns in his living room, so he's got the tech chops to do it.

Not sure what form it will take, maybe even an implant - like Rathaway's but it will certainly give Laurel something to make up for her still-developing fighting skills.

Just a thought. Cheers.

Oh, grow up, don't be so thin skinned.

I would like to see that, too.

extended promo

EDIT: well, herolee went all ninja on me.

I'm lost though. I thought Thawne completely took Wells body? How can Wells corpse exist? And surely when 911 arrived, if the corpse existed they had to identify it as Wells through records/DNA unless it was identified as Jane Doe.

Ugh.

He didn't completely take Well's body only parts of it. He probably buried the corpse later.

Ugh.

Thawne only took his DNA and left an empty shell of Wells that perhaps requires avanced tech to recognize as him.

Didn't they already confirm that Cisco gives Laurel the canary cry in the future

He buried the body before the police got there. They must have searched the area near the crash and found the body. I doubt Thawne would have taken all of his DNA. They'll be able to tell it's him. (they obviously do)

The only Flash episode title that could be a Jeopardy answer.:sly:

DNA, dental records. Although I'll be interested to see how the body managed to stay so intact through all the years.

I suspect that a lot of the science and forensics on this show aren't entirely sound. :p

A lot depends on the ground composition where the body was buried. There's a peat bog in the UK (Scotland? I think?) where some bodies well over 200 years old were discovered, and they were so well preserved they looked like they had only been dead for about a year. It's entirely believable Welles' body was still relatively intact after only 15 years.

I know it's possible. I'm still very curious how it survived, and if it will be a reasonable answer. Also, it begs the question of why Wells never completely got rid of the body.

So many questions. I have high hopes for this next episode.
