Great Episode.I think my expectations may have been a bit too high though.

They did right by Captain Cold, but I wish he'd have gotten more focus. But,it's the CW and double dating takes priority. I liked the CC costume, but I really hope they change the eye wear to something closer.

Not sure I like Cisco naming the more high profile villains.I mean,I'd like them to refer to themselves by their alias, but it's going to be odd if every villain says "That kid called me-,I like that!"

It was nice to see Felicity. Is it me,or did we get more Felicity-isims this episode, than the last 10 episodes of Arrow? It's sad that even the characters in the damn show can see that Felicity belongs with Barry....

The whole thing with Cisco inventing the Cold Gun and the overall fallout was a bit much.It gave Wells a chance to act all stern and sinister, though. It was cool to see team Flash in the field. And I'm glad CC got away.

I was a little disappointed that apparently the freeze gun causes instant death.I'd hoped maybe for the old "save somebody trapped in a block of ice",but I guess that's too B&R.

Overall, very good.I hope we don't have to wait long for CC to return.

Another great episode, loved it!

"The Flash will return Nov 11th"??? NOOOOOOOOO!

Cold the character was just about right. When he wants something nothing gets in his way not even the Flash. Loved Felicity in this because she was kinda back to the person I really liked when she was first introduced. She's okay now but getting romantically involved in Oliver is killing her. If they stay true to the comics could Felicity and Ronnie Raymond getting together be the trigger for Caitan? I say Ronnie because Martin Stein is like her dad's age.

Awesome episode! Loved the train rescue scene, Wentworth Miller was great as Captain Cold, and always nice to see Felicity.

Interesting thing to note...

Wells is from the future, but was surprised that to hear that Cisco created Captain Cold's gun.

yet again, completely irrelevant Iris/Eddie story arc.

7/10

The Good:
Captain Cold! Train sequence was super cool. Snart's costume looks awesome and I'm glad he's not a metahuman. Captain Cold ftw.

The Bad:
I just hated the romantic subplots. This has been my nº 1 complaint since the beginning of Arrow. The series was at its best in mid Season 2 cause they decided to put the superhero stuff at the forefront. There was some corny drama, but still, it was balanced.

It's debatable how genuine his "surprise" was.
True, I was half expecting the 'Wells end of episode scene' to feature him providing the cold gun in some way.

Episode was awesome. :)

Felicity :) Miller as Cold. :) Heat Wave tease :)

... too much romance Iris/Eddie plot :( , but it's CW, so I expect it.

8.5/10

I've been watching this show and so far, villains of the week have seemed like window dressing. I really liked Captain Cold. A focused criminal who had to up his game. I dig it.

I was also expecting Wells to show up in that final scene. But the question I have is, if Wells knows certain things about the future, is he fighting to push it forward as planned, or trying to alter it?

Great episode. Miller was great as Cold , it was great to see Felicity and it was one of the funniest episodes they've had so far. Gustin was great as usual and everything worked for me . I know Iris is supposed to be the main female lead of the show but I'm actually more into Caitlin.

The show is sooo tight.

Others have probably mentioned it by now, but who's idea was it to put Felicity in the dress that she wore for the double date? It totally does not fit with her character. As others have said already, that outfit looks like something that would be worn by a very loose woman, and given that Felicity isn't that..it was like a conflict of interests.lol

I think tonight marked the first time where we didn't have either a flashback of some sort..or with the final scene featuring Wells.

Be that as it may, I do hope that we get to find out on what the "original time line" was like...the one that Wells comes from that motivated him to make his trip into this new altered one.

Also...I hope the final scene was the END of the Felicity and Barry romance.

As much as I like them together, seeing as how the producers are dead set in pushing her ship with Oliver forward, I rather things not get more complicated in a CW scale by having some triangle-like situation take place. And I sure as hell hope that Felicity isn't the reason why Oliver and Barry will fight each other in this series's crossover episode.

Dat episode!!!! :atp:

I liked the theme that ran throughout of teams and partnerships, it is an important building block for when The Rogues are fully formed.

Miller was great as Cold and I think they introduced him perfectly, setting him up as a real threat as he actually beat Flash and walked away at the end.

The hijacking sequence at the start was badass! :awesome:

Always nice to see Felicity and I thought she looked amazing in that dress, just as she did when she dressed up for her date with Ollie a few weeks ago. She's eccentric and "geeky" but not some wallflower.

She is literally ALWAYS totally dressed up. Sometimes in revealing outfits that don't seem to match her personality. You'd think we'd see her in some normal clothing every now and then. Something casual. lol

My review (cross-posted):
Tonight's episode took a page from Arrow's playbook by introducing contradictory tonal elements into its overall narrative schema (with Arrow, it was superhumanity in Season 2, and here it's elements of 'grounded realism'), and hit the jackpot in the process.

I know who Wentworth Miller is despite having never seen Prison Break, and he really knocked one out of the park with his portrayal of Leonard Snart, who reminded me of a cross between Arrow's Dodger and the character of Mr.

I loved seeing Felicity tonight; she and Barry have amazing chemistry, and even though she's currently conflicted about who she ultimately wants to be with, you could clearly see that she's still very much into Barry. Her and Barry's Trivia night double date was great, especially her outfit (yes, you went fancy, but I don't think you overdressed at all, Miss Felicity).

I love the father/daughter relationship that Joe and Iris have; his issues with her dating Eddie were not only believable, but also handled really well. I am glad that there's most likely not going to be any awkwardness between them - or between Joe and Eddie - any longer.

Staying on Iris but switching gears slightly, I love that she kept trying to push Barry and Felicity together; it's such a sisterly thing to do, and you can really feel the familial bond between them.

Eddie was unbelievably dorky in this episode, but I liked it; I do find it rather funny that he couldn't identify the Millennium Falcon as being the name of Han Solo's ship, but not everybody is going to be an uber-geek. I also liked his awkward attempt to dispel the tension between himself and Joe over Iris, which was only enhanced by the inappropriate music playing when he turned on the radio.

It would've been unrealistic for 'Team Flash' not to experience any major incidences of internal conflict, so Cisco putting Barry's life in danger by creating the Cold Gun that Snart ended up getting his hands on was a welcome subplot for me, and really added some nice new layers to Barry and Cisco's relationship and to the ever-evolving mystery that is Harrison Wells and his agenda. I do think Wells overreacted a bit to Cisco's screw-up, but that was kind of the point insofar as furthering his character development and the mystery of his agenda is concerned, and so I can't really count that as a fault.

I'm glad that the writers acknowledged that Caitlin and Cisco already knew Felicity, and also really liked that Harrison knew who she was and was uber-impressed by her and her credentials. It's going to be really interesting to see what Caitlin, Wells, and Cisco make of the rest of 'Team Arrow' once they officially cross paths come Episode 8, particularly since there seemed to be a bit of slyness to the way that Harrison told Felicity to "say hi to the Arrow for us".

Going back to Barry and Felicity, I was waiting all episode for their kiss to happen, and it didn't disappoint. I liked that he just showed up on the train (startling her), and they had a nice heart-to-heart about carrying a torch for people who don't feel the same way, as it served as the perfect lead-in to their liplock. I also liked that there wasn't any awkwardness after it ended and that Barry just sped away.

The only flaw I found in tonight's episode vis a vis Felicity is that she said she overheard Barry and Oliver's chat, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since Oliver didn't specify where he was going to meet Barry, and I can't really see Felicity following Oliver after the way their conversation - which was broken up by Barry's phone call - ended. That's a minor nitpick, though, and everything else was handled so perfectly that it's easily overlooked.

It took Arrow until Episode 13 to introduce its first major recurring non-"Big Bad" antagonist (Seth Gabel's Count Vertigo), but I'm glad that The Flash didn't wait that long, and can't wait to see what happens when Snart (AKA Captain Cold) and his new business partner show Mick show back up again.

That was the best episode so far for me, easily.

Captain Cold is freaking awesome, and I can't wait to see Heat Wave in action.

I wonder how long it will be before Captain Boomerang jumps over from Arrow.

Loved Miller as Cold. Only issue I had with the whole thing is, Barry is so fast he should have just been able to grab him sooner or later. The writers need to realize that Barry isn't a character who should stand there and wait for the villain to deliver his epic speech. Still, Wentworth was great and the Barry/Felicity stuff was adorkable. Good Lord, Felicity is hot. I think she somehow gets hotter every time she appears on a show.

I do agree though that the Iris/Eddie stuff is dragging. I like Iris well enough, but Eddie... at this point at least... just isn't remotely interesting. I think we need a glimpse into whatever that "dark secret from his past" is so we don't doze off during his scenes. Every moment wasted on him at this point would be better served with more Barry or Wells.
