Yeah, I was thinking King Shark every time it was brought up, but I was like "nah, they ain't gonna do it" and forgot about it. Then BAM!!!

Thats what I though, they played that card quick!

I am really digging the CW shows, this is the kind of tv product I've waited my whole life to see. So much awesome, and Supergirl and Legends look to continue to expand this universe!

King shark looked awesome! Better than I thought. All that teasing up until the end.

Iris is continuing the boring "you lied to me me me" trope. It's like the writers don't even try.

Barry and Patty seemed nice together. I like their scenes more and more.

I liked that Stein told Cisco his powers were a gift. For a guy enthusiastic about metas it was ooc to see him struggle with accepting that he is one.

Jefferson meh he was alright. Like I said major set up for LoT.

Barry and Caitlin moments seem to be the most adult part of the show. I enjoy their talks.

Dug this episode.

That was a huge surprise at the end. So glad they didn't spoil it. That was so like..."What the ***k! No way! Awesome!"

So as it looks like, this Harrison Wells is the real one who wasn't killed by Eobard Thawne. I was kind of expecting that he'd be the good guy.

After a few episodes of seeing his short appearances, I was kind of getting tired of the long wait. Last two episodes ended with teases of Harrison Wells. I felt like maybe tonight would be the same. He makes an appearance at the end, fade to black. This time, they moved forward finally. I thought this season might have a similar plot twist that would be saved for the finale, but I'm glad they finally revealed something at this point.

Unless Earth 2's Harrison Wells is another Eobard Thawne that killed Wells and became Wells, but will pretend like he's the real Harrison Wells, and that there was no Eobard Thawne in his world, just to gain Barry's trust after studying and knowing all the events that happened to them before with Earth 1's Harrison Wells, he can use that as his advantage. To kill Barry again or something. He saved him from the shark but maybe it's all his plan. Would seem like a genius plan.

Or he's the good Harrison Wells.

I don't mind the plot of Barry's new yet-to-be love interest. Last week I didn't care for the Iris's Mom plot. Very soap opera. Cliche. This week I didn't mind it that much. One thing that was refreshing about it was that the writers were addressing the fact that it won't be another revelation in a much later episode with Iris and Joe finding out that the mother lied about cancer.

Another thing that was good about this episode was that I already mentioned was that we saw Harrison Wells, but this time, in the middle of the episode unexpectedly. First at STAR Labs and then at the...I forget what company of that building was, but we saw him again at the company Wells used to work for. They were moving forward with the plot. I was thinking at first though that we would have to wait until next week to see what would happen next, but lucikly he showed up at the end.

Since the beginning though, I have not been a huge fan of Firestorm, and I was not especially hyped for this episode, but I watched it, and rather enjoyed the story about the two Firestorms.

It just occurred to me though as I almost forgot...prior to meeting the first new Firestorm contestant or volunteer, we saw the Earth 2 Harrison Wells watching Team Flash in STAR Labs without being seen. There was something obviously wrong with the Firestorm device when Prof. Stein and the first guy tried to converge into one...someone had to have caused it, so maybe it was the earth 2 Harrison Wells who manipulated it.

It's too bad they don't have the budget to do due a full on King Shark Episode. I would have chosen him (any day of the week) to be the main villain for this episode, with Barry requiring the help of the new Firestorm to take him down.

yeah that's not what happened I thought this >>when they weren't able to merge And he had his fit where he worked. it's cause in actually he and stein were actually the same type of matter and he read oddly like he was dark matter.

which is why Jefferson was more of a match for stein. it''s like having two positive sides of the battery interacting. what stein needed a minus side for his positive side . the villain in this episode power was actually the same as steins positive side of firestorm. so they couldn't coverage or merge. instead it jump started his own powers to be activated with out a partner

Yeah, I'm a bit confused over how much they rushed Firestorm. Ronnie gets (apparently) killed off after a few episodes, and they skip Jason entirely (even though he was on the show) and move on to a new character who isn't from the comics. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just a strange development overall. Did Amell want out? Were they unhappy with the actor who played Jason?

the character they are using currently with stein is actually a school buddy of Ronnie in the comic's who was taught by both professor's Palmer(yes Ray the atom) & stein in university.

As too Amell no there he didn't want out it was more a schedule conflict. he has alot of other thing's both movies and other shows. the only one I know that was announced and talked about was the X-files so far. if there was a "I want out" or fallout of any sort" we wouldn't have seen him at all in the season premier for him to disappear.

Where this leaves Robbie Amell's remains unknown. As Ron Raymond, Amell was joined with Professor Martin Stine (Victor Garber) to create Firestorm in the first season of "The Flash." While Garber has been featured prominently on advertisements for "Legends of Tomorrow" and is a member of the show's regular cast, Amell -- who has a role in the upcoming "X-Files" reboot -- has not been seen in any promo art or footage from the spinoff. Amell's days as half of Firestorm don't appear to be totally over, however, as he appears as Firestorm in photos from the season premiere of "The Flash."
Starring Grant Gustin, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker and Jesse L. Martin, "The Flash" returns to The CW on Oct. 6 on at 8 p.m. EST.

We're likely to see him again . the writers just needed a replacement in the mean time. jason would be a kid Ronnie was his teacher in later years but looking at what's happening with wally ........ they just wanted someone else for what ever weird reason. kinda like what they said that they wanted wally to be the brother of iris it's just how they want things.

Even though it just makes it weird that most hero's parents don't seem to have any siblings and once they "bit it" thats it for the heroes family. and there's oddly no god parents" friend of the family"that grew up with the parent or went to college with them... would be that characters next of kin. which makes no sense how every singe hero that get powers family is built that way.

Un-freaking believable first Gorilla Grodd now King Shark

Who is next ????
I love THE FLASH!!!!

I was beginning to like the other candidate, too bad he went off the deep end.
Iris has a brother, could her brother be Wally?

They used the old "show it at night" trick, but the detail is very good.

I feel like I'm in the minority (if not the only one) who's not excited about Dr. Wells. Not that he wasn't a great character but I would've liked some time away from him before bringing him back again. Yes, I know its technically a different character but I think it would've had more impact if they brought him back later down the line maybe in the second half of the season.

They really need to start letting more metas and E2 characters venture outside of Central City.

King shark!

Tokamak.

Nice little Titanic nod to the fact the guy who plays Stein was in Titanic.

It was a good episode and I really dug the hint of Wally West and the scenes with Barry and Patty are awesome. But, I thought the CGI was pretty weak. King Shark looked alright. But that blue stuff above Stein's head looked bad and so did the stuff around Hewitt

I never liked the look of CG flames and electricity on film, I do not expect something better on a TV show with more budget restrictions.

I know they have budget restrictions and I was just voicing my displeasure. I don't think I complained about the CGI at all last season.

Dat CG King Shark, wow, it's pretty insane.

"King Shark looked alright" LOL, for a TV show, the CG work on this episode and overall (remember Grodd?) has been absolutely fantastic. Hell, I have no doubt that that King Shark we saw would hold up in a decently budgeted movie, like really.

Otherwise, great episode as usual.

Gotta keep [censored] in perspective. People usually bring up money as the big thing that differentiates CG in a feature film to television. Thing is movies have months and months of post production and a large portion of that time is dedicated specifically for CGI. While television has weeks per episode at best so it's a race against time. In a movie you have the time to get things "perfect" whereas on a tv show you're on a stricter deadline because eventually you have to move on to the next episode. That's why we tend to get the really great stuff during season premiers and finales.

Good episode with the exception of Iris's drama, which was so boring. Hopefully this is the last we've seen of Francine. The only good part about it is that Iris now gets to keep a secret from Joe. Henry Hewitt was appropriately dickish so I'm glad he survived and may return to be dickish again. Stein was never more than okay for me so I'm pleased that he's leaving and being replaced by Dr. Wells. E2 Wells may not be evil but I get the vibe he's not entirely good either so that'll be interesting. King Shark, of course, was the best part of the episode. CW, increase The Flash's budget so we can have a whole episode devoted to him!

Patty is lovely.
Iris is acting like a real person this season, she's doing great.
King shark was omg amazing. So glad this show does things like that. Hope to see him again!
Harrison intrigues me.
Loved the new Firestorm guy.
Need more Zoom.
Amazing ending.

FFS Team Flash (and Team Arrow) - NO MORE SECRETS!

I'm really growing tired of all of the artificial and unnecessary drama being created by everyone keeping secrets from one another, whether it's Cisco not telling Barry and Caitlin about his developing abilities, Iris not telling Joe that he might have a son, Joe not telling Barry that Harrison Wells has returned, Laurel not telling Oliver about her plan to resurrect Sara, Diggle not telling Oliver about HIVE, etc.

Time and time again storylines are resolved with everyone agreeing that keeping secrets damages their relationships which makes then less effective as a team. But, they still continue to keep secrets! Couldn't the "drama" come from the secrets being promptly revealed and the characters working together to overcome whatever adversity the "secret" reveals?

Anyway, onto this episode. King Shark! So cool. I hope that we see more of him. It also makes me want to see Gorilla Grodd return. With Grodd it would seem a much easier proposition since they can have telepathically controlled flunkies doing most of Grodd's dirty work, with just a final confrontation between Barry and Grodd to cut down on the CGI.

As for everything else. The search for a new Firestorm was a little too straightforward for me. But, any material delivered by Victor Garber automatically shines due to his charisma.

I found it incredibly ridiculous that Caitlyn didn't run a thorough background check on Professor Psycho and that she invited him to STAR labs, revealed the connection between STAR labs and The Flash, revealed the connection between STAR labs and "Firestorm" and presumably told him an awful lot about the particle accelerator explosion. I also found it ridiculous that no-one told either candidate that they were a replacement for a hero who had "died".

Not to mention the fact that Cisco's upgraded security system apparently still can't catch Harrison Wells as he sneaks around STAR labs!

Also, is Team Flash really back to their old ways of solving problems by imply locking people up in their pipeline prison? I guess it's better than killing all of their enemies, but goodness gracious, surely there is a better way. Especially when, in this instance, they're the ones at fault since they revealed a bunch of information to Professor Psycho, "gave" him powers which apparently also increased his mental instability and then decide that they don't know what to do with him.

The reveal of Wally West was expected, but I was disappointed how it all went down. And, as noted, I'm disappointed that Iris is keeping his existence a secret from Joe, especially since she's just suffered through Joe's own long overdue reveal of his lie about her mother's death.

All of that typed, I still enjoyed this episode. The sparks between Barry and Patty were great. Although again, I am disturbed by Joe's hypocritical attitude. When Iris wanted to date Eddie, it was a "no go" because of Joe's concerns about the dangers of Eddie's job. But, here Joe is pushing Barry to date Patty, even though she's exposed to the very same dangers (possibly even greater dangers since she's part of a two-person task force dedicated to hunting and capturing people with super powers). Sure, Barry is in a position to help Patty, but he can't be with her ALL the time.

I'm looking forward to next week. I really like how The Flash doesn't drag out storylines unnecessarily. It seems that we'll already be getting at least some answers about Harrison Wells and Zoom.

I feel they're doing it right mainly because of how they've handled former big bads on Arrow.

Malcolm Merlyn in S2 and beyond, and Slade Wilson in S3 was just a huge disaster because they were these big characters reduced to cameos.

At least with Wells they are still devoting ample time for him to be a player this season and in the future. He looks important to the plot still rather than a bad version of last years villain.
