Those are fantastic. You're very talented.

Yeah, he looked cool in the remake, but the fake neck and straggly hair aren't great IMO.

Couple more pics for today forgot to post my Jason X figure, love this figure.

Part III is my fav Friday. Richard Brooker's performance as Jason was perfect, in my opinion.

That Uber-Jason figure is awesome (unlike the movie itself). I've always thought that design was cool.

Jason X the film is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's just fun to me, and it has one of the best kills in the franchise (the frozen face smash).

My mum got me a brand new machete. I wore out the old one. ****ing teenagers.

"Prisoners" writer to pen next installment http://bit.ly/1QWJInI

Aaron Guzikowski is in negotiations to write the next installment in the “Friday the 13th” franchise for Paramount and Platinum Dunes, sources tell Variety.

Michael Bay will produce along with his Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. Paramount had no comment on the negotiations.
While plot details are still under wraps, the film will likely focus on the return of legendary mass murderer Jason Voorhees, who has terrorized inhabitants of the Camp Crystal Lake for the past three decades.

This will mark the 13th film in the franchise, with the most recent bowing in 2009 for New Line and Warner Bros. As part of the deal that allowed Warner Bros. to come on as co-producers on “Interstellar,” the studio traded the rights to “Friday the 13th” to Paramount, which is where Platinum Dunes also holds a first-look deal.

This will be the second “Friday the 13th” installment Platinum Dunes will produce, already having rebooted classic slashers “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and “Nightmare on Elm Street.”

Guzikowski’s thriller “Prisoners,” starring Hugh Jackman, garnered widespread critical acclaim after its release in 2013.

He is currently attached to pen a remake of the Steve McQueen pic “Papillon” and is also penning the reboot of “The Wolf Man” for Universal.

The studio needs to have a secondary production company make these films, and have Paramount distribute, like in the heyday of the Franchise. Studio interfearence lead to 5-10 year gaps on a product that prodused new content annually. It's a shame that studios ruined the Slasher film franchises by paying attention to them, instead of being half-way ashamed of them. As strange as that sounds.

(Gets excited) :ilv:
(Sees Paltinum Dunes is involved) :whatever:

'Friday the 13th' is Moving Forward. New Origin Story and Pamela Voorhees.

Skipping the lengthy backstory, the latest is that producers Platinum Dunes have been waiting on a first draft from Prisoners scribe Aaron Guzikowski, which was due this month. This would dictate the next steps in bringing Jason Voorhees back to theaters.

Since they were starting from square one, all variables were unknown, except that it wouldn’t be found-footage.

Now that Platinum Dunes is sending TMNT 2 into theaters next month, they can focus on reopening Camp Crystal Lake…and this starts with the screenplay.

It’s all good news as Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller has not only confirmed that a script has been delivered, but also that they’re moving forward with it, reports The Reel World.

“Aaron’s story has great characters,” Fuller explained before revealing that they’re going to try and really understand Jason’s motivations. “You kind of have to understand Jason Voorhees, so we go back and we kind of started over and work our way forward.”

When asked for clarity on the next Friday the 13th being an origin story, Fuller dropped two bombs: “Origin-ish, but it’s an origin that no one has seen before. Obviously Pamela’s there, but it’s a little bit different from what you’ve seen before.”

Something like this works better for Jason given his past but at the end of the day people want to see Jason as an unsympathetic killing machine. But if you can find way to balance these things it could work.

Interesting that this new comes after it was announced that a new Halloween film has been fast-tracked.

As of right now, I'm much more intrigued by the idea of a new Halloween film. A new Jason origin story? The recent F13 remake basically served as an origin story, and unlike Rob Zombie's horrendous Halloween films, I feel like the F13 series could have simply continued on after the remake. The remake was at least serviceable and they could have salvaged enough from it to make more films, rather than letting the franchise lay dormant for several years and then deciding to start all over again. Even RZ's Halloween was granted a sequel.

*Crosses fingers*
*Has mild expectations*

Nothing has changed since this post.

As in:

it wouldn’t be found-footage
*expectations improve a bit*

they’re going to try and really understand Jason’s motivations. “You kind of have to understand Jason Voorhees..."
*expectations decrease a good bit*

“Origin-ish, but it’s an origin that no one has seen before. Obviously Pamela’s there, but it’s a little bit different from what you’ve seen before.”
*expectations go back to mildy levels, fingers still crossed*
