The Full List of "Crimes" Committed by Fox's Tom Rothman

I wish Jackman would go in to Rothman's office and say "Hey, movie's gotta be longer. This isn't what we set out to make."

"We didn't sign up for this."

"Who do you think you are? This is what we do."

Hugh Jackman should. He has enough star power IMO to demand a longer movie.
Seriously dude. Demand that it's longer or he'll never work for Fox again & even boycott his own movie. You think Rothman would learn from their 2008 Epic Fail & Iron Man/TDK that you should let the film maker do what he wants. No one wants to see a 90 minute action movie, they suck.

I really hope this is wrong or else Terminator & Transformers will be my most anticipated movie of the summer. My hopes for my favorite character out of anything having his own big-screen movie will be erased until Marvel gets the X-Men rights & decides to re-boot their entire franchise (IM, Hulk, Thor, Cap, anything after Avengers).

Anyone here crazy enough to do a fanboy assassination!?

Well, it would be acceptable if it only involved like, one character and one villain. But it's supposed to have tons of cameos and all of those characters will be absolutely useless in a 90-minute movie.

It's like X3 all over again!

Then lets all boycott this movie:o

Don't go opening weekend, go to the first showing in the morning when it is cheaper, wait until the dvd, or buy a ticket to another movie and sneak into this. Do not give Fox your money:o
Um, no. Yes, I'm mad it has a shorter running time, but I'm not boycotting because Fox made them cut it down. A running time does not make a movie. As long as it's at least decent, I'm there.

Then you keep paying his salary so that we can keep getting mediocre ****.

I'm so sorry for not jumping on the Fox Hate Bandwagan. Boycotting a movie just because of the running time or a rating is the most stupidest thing I've ever heard. Some of you are acting like children over a F***ING MOVIE! You act like it's the end of the world. Well, guess what? It's not. And mediocre ****? You may not have liked X3 or FF, but I enjoyed them for what they were, not their running time or their length. You don't like Fox, don't go see their movies. But don't bash those who do. To be frank, some of you need to get your heads out of your asses.

Not to mention the fact I actually watch the movie before I decide wheither it sucks or not.

Truth be told, if Woverine is like..an hour and 55 minutes, that's fine.

If it's 90 minutes, then signs are not good. (X3, Fantastic Four 1 and 2, Hitman, Max Payne, City of Ember). I think all of those Fox movies clock in at an hour and a half.

FF1 was over 100 mins I do believe.

I think this article states it the best when it comes to Rothman and Fox:

http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/2008-12...009-2-10-storm-may-still-show-up-in-wolverine

"I think (FOX's) system is broken. Deeply, deeply broken. Good movies occasionally stumble out of the studio, confused about how they escaped unmolested, but the only thing that happens when I write about Fox is fanboys get angry. Nothing else changes."

i will not watch the movie becaue the chances that Rothamns job is saved will be bigger.

after 2008 and all the complaints you would think that tehy would start with the running time and editing. guys this is a sign that they will not change. so why think ''maybe it will be different'' ?

i think the last movies from FOX that i saw was AD Babylon and Taken. guess what both movies were short and obvious cut down. for both movies there were complaints of missing footage.

Taken isn't Fox's movie. They only distribute(d) it in some countries.

People don't know they got short changed.

My hopes for Voyage of the Dawn Treader are in the garbage with this continued streak of 90-100 minute films.

Some of us don't want just a decent movie, we want a good or great one.

I remember when I was younger and easily pleased because I had low standards.

While it is true that a running time doesn't make a movie this one does need/deserve more than 90 minutes. With all the other characters they threw in it's going to feel rushed like X-3 because all those other characters probably won't get much screentime.

I wonder how many Fox/Rothman supporters thought Angels pathetic screen time was perfectly fine? :csad:

Not that much was stripped from Taken. The movie turned out good, and that is one you can't pin on FOX.

90 minutes is the run time for formula pictures with limited plot and characters, like anything with a high body count (One man army action films, slasher films, ninja movies, Teen sex comedy's, ect.). But a film with plot development and characters the studio wants you to care about, you need time.

They know of Iron Man and Incredible Hulk right?

Why is it a shock to some folk on here? I always expect Fox to allow their movies to only be 90 to 105minutes.

There is a reason so many people hate Fox/Rothman...it isn't because our heads are so far up our ***es. Just look at this thread. I am glad you enjoyed X3 and FF...you fit right into their demographic. They destroyed Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. I on the other hand was appauled at how the FF and X-Men were treated and if you want to see your favorite comic characters molested and destroyed then fine...continue to allow Fox to do what they do. Critics and box office numbers alone show that FF1, FF2, DD, Elektra, and X3 were mediocre movies.

I said the same thing about X3...fighting people that said it was going to be bad just like you are doing. I was right there doing what you are doing now so I don't blame you. I saw the light:cwink:
