The Full List of "Crimes" Committed by Fox's Tom Rothman

Though thank goodness Daredevil got salvaged thanks to the Director's Cut. I wish Fox would allow these true Directors' Cuts on DVD and Blu-ray more often instead of 1 to 2 minutes of extra footage.
I really didn't think the DC improved anything. It was the same crap. Just longer.

The stuff added to Daredevil made it such a better movie. It actually made the movie good.

Yeah, listening to MSJ's commentary really hammers home how much better the DC is.

Who said I had low standards:huh: Besides you can't get TDK every time.

You said "as long as it's decent".

Decent is usually below the level of 'good'.

I didn't bring up anything about TDK or how every comic film should be up to that standard, which I think is on a level of being great. Not a masterpiece or perfect as some Batman fans would have you think, but I think it's definitely above just being a 'good' movie.

The fact that you said as long as it's 'decent' to me says you have slightly low standards. Maybe not full on low standards but slightly.

I do like some movies that are just decent, hell I have a few guilty pleasures that I enjoy because they are so bad they're good. But when it comes to Fox who consistantly puts out decent to bad films...well they need to learn a lesson. I'm not talking about the kill Rothman bull ****, just saying that if people aren't happy with where a certain film is going we still shouldn't support it even if it's based on a popular comic character that we like/love.

"Who do you think you are? This is what we do."

This ****ing *****ebag looks like Harold Raimis.:hehe:

I've seen plenty films cut down to get a shorter run time, but Daredevil was the first movie I've seen where the entire main plot of the movie got cut.

I will say this about FOX. They make bad movies a lot of the time, but they also put out some great DVDs compared to many of the other studios. It is also the only company that I've seen that allows audio commentaries on their commercially released DVDs that consist largely of the cast and crew blasting the studio. At least they aren't afraid of criticism.

When people say boycott, I think they mean only themselves boycotting. Which won't be much for it to be a failure. The GA makes up most of the audience. I don't think Rothman will care if he loses us, all he wants is the money.

I don't think we would give a crap about Fox making "decent guilty pleasure movies" if it didn't involve characters we loved.

I mean, I had already given up on X3 before I saw it, and I was able to enjoy it for what it had despite some truly hilarious, lazy filmmaking. At least it had a veneer of being a dark action movie, unlike B&R. :oldrazz:

If I had expected it to do justice to those beloved characters, then yeah I would have been seriously pissed. Now I think it's just keeping count of all of the movies that could have been but aren't, thanks to Rothman.

The dvd's are great because the film in the theatres were butchered:o

Plus...the commentaries do not reflect that of the studio so they can say suck it fox all they want:woot:

Well, I said that because I'm not a film critic. I said in other threads, I don't want to be that snobby. I go to the movies to enjoy myself.

I agree that Fox is doing a great diservice to the fans by cutting it down and it will probably suffer greatly from it.. And while I enjoy movies like FF and X3, I understand why fans hate those movies. But I'm still going to see this movie. And I'm not going to go into this saying "ohh, this will suck balls" because I'm going to watch the actual movie before I decide my final opinion of it.

I don't hate Fox, just the Rothman guy. He's such a *****bag. I want him removed from office!!

Rothman, Murdoch, Ailes... a quite vile list of people who make the decisions in that company. I should include the guy who made TV guide an 8 x 11 magazine, but TVG isn't that important these days...

Mother of God, there's a Tom Rothman website?

Yep. The guy's got one of the biggest egos I've ever seen.

Anybody seen those commercials lately with Rothman advertising the Fox Movie Channel? I hate those.

Anyone posting videos of Rothman on Youtube should be banned from it, because even Youtube doesn't deserve to brought down to that level.
