So the atheists were wrong. The devil is real. And it's Tom Rothman.

Nope
Rothman is still over Fox Filmed Entertainment . He along with some other guy got promoted and now have oversee all Fox related Tv productions

Wait, Fox related tv productions? Does this mean 24 and House have a chance at sucking now? :csad:

So does anyone know the answer to my question?
As with any business ventures, no if they are doing fine now. But if the ratings starts to plummet, it will give them justification to intervene. I am not familiar with the situation of both these shows, but if you know, you probably can extrapolate a rough idea.

Awesome avvy, Paradoxium. I wouldn't want to run into that baby in a dark alley.

This is one of the rare occasions where I have something positive to say about Tom Rothman. I give Rothman credit for getting rid of that poor excuse for a fan club website about himself. That website had not been updated for years and looked like it was crafted by a teenager. It's a relief that now I can feel a little less embarrassed for a narcissist that frequently made a complete imbecile of himself. We live in a messed up world but, I think most of us can agree that at least the internet functions more efficiently with one less pointless website.

In other Fox related movie news the company has another low budget boxoffice disappointing film. Amelia cost 40million to make and has made only 13.5million domestically. Fox has spent 170-180million on 4 movies(Amelia,Street Fighter,DB:E,Aliens in the attic) that ended up grossing a combined 56.6 million domestic dollars. That's a remarkably bad return on an investment. What's even more perplexing is how does any studio end up spending this much money on mutiple films with bad cgi and very little star power. Amelia was the only one of these films advertised with a quality trailer, star power, and Fox searchlight usually makes good money from these types of films but, not this time.

Since Rothman now oversees Fox TV productions, can we blame him for the asinine idea to make Bones one big Avatar product placement?

I'd be so disgusted if it were Cameron's idea, so I'm just adding it to the list of Rothman's crimes. :funny:

Huh??? That's pretty stupid. Yet smart at the same time.

Maybe Cameron murdered and buried one of his crew because he was displeased with the CG?

It's a shame there never was a "real" F4 film.
The 1993 Oley Sassone has the best Doom and overall story arc.
Evans and Chicklis were as much Johnny and Ben as Joseph Culp was doom.
Superhero films requires excellent actors to be the villain. examples of proper comic villains on screen:
Max Von Sydow- Ming
Joseph Gordon Levitt- Cobra Commander
Rual Julia- M. Bison
Donald Pleasance- Blofeld
Ralph Fienes- Voldemort

Rothman instead chose Julian MCcMahon. If Tim Story had a real established dramatic actor as Doom, Amy Acker as Sue, and a runtime of 2hrs 30mins- F4 would have been good.
Tom Rothman is EVEN WOSE THAN JOEY Q!!!!!!!

I give some credit to Rothman again. After refusing to see all of the garbage Fox has released since the X-Men 3 disaster I finally decided to watch a Fox movie in the theaters again and it was actually decent. I guess Avatar proves that Fox is at least capable of making a good movie once every 3 and a half years. If this trend continues 2012 will be the next time I spend theater money on a Fox film.

I also give Rothman credit for Fox finally having a film that is on pace to easily break 200million domestically. That would be a phenomenon for Fox because it has not happened to any of their films since X3.

Avatar is a bad example. Titanic made so much money that Cameron had 100% control.

I agree but, Rothman still gave Cameron the green light to make this film. The cool thing that could happen if Avatar underperforms is Rothman will ultimately take the blame. If the underperformance or failure of the most expensive movie of all time doesn't get Rothman fired nothing will.

Rothman had nothing to do with Avatar. I'm confident if he tried any of his crap on an Avatar set, Rothman would have been fired by Cameron himself. If it ever came down to Fox choosing Rothman or Cameron, Fox would have made the smart bet and stick with Jim.

Rothman did promote Avatar at last summers comic-con in San Diego. So he did contribute something(5-10% of the marketing) to Avatar.
