The Full List of "Crimes" Committed by Fox's Tom Rothman

I love DH and DH3. They are gritty and fun to watch. Where DH4 kind of loses me is that it is way too cartoony. I mean, he destroys a jet with a truck. That is stupid on many levels. I also felt that while the villain's plan was interesting, he himself was lame. Things like that bogged the movie down for me.

Australia is a a bomb. but fox expected oscars right? so i dont hear any oscar buzz and its a bomb.

Cowboy Bebop could be the next Matrix, RoboCop, Aliens or even Blade Runner if treated correctly, there's enough character depth, beautiful visuals/settings and well written stories to make a classic five star film with.
True.

But sadly it's going to be reduced to an 80 minute, PG-13, no budget, badly edited by the *****ebag who raped Die Hard 4 and Hitman and with the cheap typical Fox cinematography that will probably be set on modern day Earth.
Also true.

If there was ever a person who deserved a Benito Mussolini style execution and public lynching, it is Tom Rothman.
..and Keanu waiting in line.

Cowboy Bebop isn't the next anything. It already IS one of the most beautiful, amazing stories ever. It preceded The Matrix.

In light of the recent news of Fox working with Walden Media on the next Narnia, I thought I'd revive this thread, and we'll label this a "Pre-Crime" :hehe:

tehy just alway f....up big budget movies. so narnia could be next. but of course the second narnia movie also didnt make a lot profit so i hope people will not act like fox did everything wrong and disney did not.

The problem with the 2nd Narnia is that after the mega success of the first one, Disney got cocky and decided they wanted to tap a whole different audience by moving the pic to summer, competing with the "big ones" like Iron Man and Indy. Of course, no one expected IM to be that big, so maybe they thought everything would be OK...

Do you think Caspian's overall quality would've been a non-issue had it been released in the Fall like the first film?

Hard to say. I think the movie would've been better served not sandwiched after Iron Man.

Critics judge films differently it seems with each different season. The summer is usually reserved for action blockbusters while the fall has Oscar buzz films, the winter has family movies with a couple of dumb horror movies, and the spring is usually really bad cheesy films:o So they expect something before going to see a movie unless it is totally surprising to them and takes them off guard. Narnia was released in the summer so they expected it to be along the lines of the summer blockbusters...and it just isn't.

Narnia isn't Harry Potter and it can't switch effortlessly from fall to summer.

If the Narnia franchise wasn't dead after Disney let it go it will definitely, suffer a permanent death with Fox. Rothman is already rumoured to want to drastically reduce the budget for the next film so prepare to lower your expectations. Next we will hear news about some hack director being hired for the sequel.

This just in: Laura Schuller Donner under Fox and Rothman said that Wolverine will be and I quote "way under two hours." Wow Fox...they never learn:o

I am really thinking about not seeing this movie just so Rothman loses his job. I would rather wait 6 months for the dvd than to keep paying money to see the **** that they put out.

I might skip it too. My excitement levels for Wolverine are non-existent anyway.

Someone said that after the really crappy year for Fox that was 2008, that Rothman's job was under review and this was his big last chance.

I've never really considered skipping Wolverine, but now I'm starting to think maybe. I highly doubt Gavin Hood's vision of the film consisted of a mere hour-and-a-half runtime.

Under two hours. Mother of God. They can't stop lowering my expectations can they, YOU, Rothman?

I am sure his film was longer...but good ole Fox saw differently and now we have a 90 minute Wolverine ORIGIN movie:csad:

I doubt I'd skip the movie, but I never planned to pay for it. I'll buy a ticket for Star Trek or something like that and then go into Wolverine. FOX doesn't get ANY of my money as long as Rothman still has a job there.

But us Marvel fans should be hoping the movie does poorly. How else can we get franchises like the X-men and FF back out from under FOX's control and back home at Marvel Studios where they belong?

God I can't get over a 90 mintue ORIGIN film? Huh?

I may skip it.

I will skip it. If it gets good reviews which I really doubt now that it will...I will buy a ticket to Star Trek as well and then go see Wolverine. Rothman needs to burn:o
