The Full List of "Crimes" Committed by Fox's Tom Rothman

I actually kinda liked it except for all the Deadpool butchering done by Rothman.

Thats my philosophy... if its good, the filmmakers are responsible. If it's bad, it's all Rothman.

And Sabretooth left me cold. How did he go from shrimpy Schreiber to that ****ing hulk that is Tyler Mane?!

Ditto.

Marvel Studios should make an official statement that they no longer support Foxs involvement with any films they might produce using Marvel properties

I'd love that. F4 and DD were garbage. And as they were, I rather liked the X-series, so they could only be improved under Marvel's supervision.

However, Wolverine is making bank, so I could only imagine Marvel being happy. Unless they're getting **** money from Fox, in which case, yeah they'd probably do what you said.

Im sure sometimes they'd like to wash their hands of a mess, but its kinda hard to distance yourself from blame when you're someone like Kevin Feige and so heavily involved in all these projects. Cant pretend you're surprised when you're either a producer or executive producer."They made Galactus a cloud?!" :oldrazz:

i dont think marvel supported fox with their movies.

they are just waiting.............waiting.

And will continue to wait and wait if Fox is able to make a marvel movie every 4 yrs or so.
Unless of course MArvel takes Fox to court.

i think they can nto take them to court since this is in the contract.

the problem is that no normal studio would do this. if you dont want a movie you dont force it.

i had a dream last night about X-men 4

it had all the x-men from the first 3 even the ones that were killed off (prof x and cyclops) and gambit
And magneto's entire line up from his brotherhood (schriber's creed, mystique, toad, juggie, multiple man and a few new mutants

It had the sentienels and mutant registration act.....
it was incredibly badass

then i woke up and realised thats all it was..... just a dream :(

If Marvel could somehow miraculously get the X-Men movie rights back and away from Fox, I bet they would give us a kick ass X4. :(

"I don't care what they say about me as long as they spell my name right". P.T. Barnum.

I'm sure that somehow Rothman must enjoy all that hate he generates, specially after a week end like he just had.
I'm not defending the guy (who could ?), I just don't care and don't have much love for any executives in general.

Rothman must be laughing in his money pool.

But it's full of shame.

The only reason the X-men franchise was a hit in the first place was in spite of Rothman, not because of it. That credit belongs to Bryan Singer.

Wolverine made less money opening weekend than X2 did. That shows that the public is responding to a decline in quality. After X3, that left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths and X3 was hot off of the crtically and fan acclaimed X2 which is why it did great opening weekend. With Star Trek this weekend, I hope its legs are cut off.

On monday, Wolverine only made 5 million bucks, so hopefully we can look forward to a huge drop-off this week when Star Trek comes out.

Um, it made around 5.5 million which is a similar drop from Sunday to Monday that Iron Man had last year. I wouldn't start claiming doom and gloom just yet.

Iron Man didn't suck, and it wasn't going head to head with Star Trek starting on Thursday.

Wolverine will probably drop over 60%. ComingSoon is predicting a 67% drop. If it drops that much I wonder if it can reach $200 million. It might not even beat Monsters Vs. Aliens. If Wolverine performs similar to Spider-Man 3 it will end somewhere around $185-$190 million. But it might have even weaker legs than that.

CBFs tend to perfrom well internationally

Orgins dropped 15% yesterday while Iron Man dropped 6.2%. I'm still going to wait till project but Orgins is already showing signs of more fronloading that IM.

It's alright to love the film but it's going to drop like a b**ch this coming weekend. Just accept it.

i just don't think that Wolverine has that "I have to see that again" vibe that Iron Man has.

Once is enough, speaking for myself of course.

It looks like Wolverine will drop something like 70-75% this weekend.

Wow. This movie may not even make 25million for the weekend. This could end up being 25th or higher on Boxofficemojo mojo's list of films with the greatest dropoffs.

it's still made a boatload and apparently is doing very well internationally....****

Ah, that's too high for me to want it. I just want this film's money to drop off the face of the earth.

I just hope ST get's great word of the mouth and will maintain a steady gross next week. It could very well be number 1 again.
