- Several ideas have been thrown around WWE in regards to the CM Punk storyline. One of the ideas being thrown around is to use this as a way to finally get rid of the spinner WWE Title belt.

This would have worked even better if they had gone through with the Cena firing angle. it'd make sense because Vince would want to get rid of all traces of Cena. And if Punk ever did come back he wouldn't want Cenas belt either.

Or even if HHH was in charge I could see the belt being replaced. They played up how new school Cena was vs HHH's traditionalist mindset and training during their feud so I never could figure out why HHH didn't mind walking around with Cenas bling belt.

If he is in charge now I could see him bringing back a more classic design.

Except thankfully I don't feel like I'm forced to follow it to keep up. What WWE is doing allows some interesting side entertainment that the overall story as a whole doesn't totally depend on to continue. Smart on their part.

I think Punk can have fun with this and it'll really sell his leaving to all the people keeping up with it on both sides.

Anywho, this could end up being the best angle we've seen in years. If it plays out correctly... I really don't know what I could compare it to..

I still think its a storyline transfer of power. I don't believe McMahon would hand over the reigns that abruptly unless he was seriously ill.

But this kind of thing can have a negative affect on company business if they don't alert the more "naive" people in advance that its just part of the show. This reminds me of the last time they made a storyline about a company business decision (Trump buying Raw) and how it cause WWE all sorts of real life complaints. You'd think they would have learned from that.

I like Orton but being the jerk he is sometimes he works so much better as a heel.

Plus WWE has always seen him as their future goldenboy even though he's never been quite as over as he and WWE have made him out to be. The feud with Cena was a prime example. it just looked stupid when WWE hyped it up so much even though it never really caught fire like the great feuds of the past that they tried to compare it to.

I never have really liked how he's been somewhat protected and pushed even when he screws up or isn't as over.

Hopefully they don't fumble the ball like the did with Nexus.

The good thing here is everyone involved is experienced enough to do their job for the long run and don't have nearly as many weaknesses that can be exposed the way the Rookies of Nexus did.

I thought Raw was decent. Not great but not bad. A lot of stuff that happened made sense its just that the show didn't live up to the anticipation after Sundays great MITB ppv.

The stuff with Cena was pointless though. We all knew it was going nowhere. The only thing is it just furthered the story of Vince's increasing irrationality. Except he's been irrational for over a decade so its a bit late for the board of directors to start complaining about it.

My biggest gripe is with them ending the momentum of the tournament just to have another Cena/McMahon moment. I really liked the idea of the tournament, and the action was pretty good. Then they scrapped it at the end to show more Cena, and that came across as pretty hypocritical considering how Vince spent his time talking about how no one man is bigger than the company. No man is bigger than the company, but we're going to scrap this cool tournament for the belt to show more Cena not getting fired. Hell they spent most of the show talking about Cena's tweets instead of the action going on in the ring. Nice way to make things seem important, WWE.

Plus the HHH and Vince segment was the same type of thing we've seen countless times but only with tears now. If HHH takes over as the on screen boss I'm fine with that, but after last night's ppv being so different it seemed a step back to push that storyline on through. That could have waited a bit because the tournament was a really good chance to build up a guy.

As far as this angle being unique...we've seen this EXACT angle many times before! This is just boring, lazy McMahon drama all over again.

I've said this before, but wrestling should exist in a hyper-reality...a funhouse mirror reflection of what is actually going on in the world. The angle Punk set up was PERFECT...the Haves vs the Have-Nots. It's something we can all identify with...powerful people controlling our destiny, and giving their buddies a free pass while we struggle in obscurity. That angle, with Punk as the savior we hope will return...Cena as the corporate yes man stooge who doesnt realize that people hate him...and Vince as the evil boss...could have been the next hot feud to take wrestling back to the the heights of the Attitude era. Instead, we get McMahon family drama and Cena being the boy scout we're supposed to cheer for.

Triple R's posts summed up my feelings, I think Triple H taking over from Vince is just the next phase is this Punk arc that is only just starting.

- Word going around yesterday and at last night's RAW was that WWE will not be bringing Sin Cara back after he failed a Wellness test. As noted before, it's believed that Cara actually failed the test in mid-June but was just suspended yesterday. There is a lot of heat on Cara for the suspension because he's been promoted as Triple H's first major international hire.

Odd that they would cut him loose so soon after all the effort that was amde to sign him up.

At the end of Monday's episode of RAW, we saw Triple H return to television and announce that he would be taking over Vince McMahon's duties behind the scenes, effectively relieving Vince of his day-to-day duties. Former WWE star Sean Waltman went on Twitter following RAW and said that Vince McMahon really is stepping down from his job as Chairman and CEO:

"The text [Triple H] sent me today makes much more sense now. That was the real deal, that last 5 or however many minutes.

"Waltman also noted that WWE should "careful that this doesn't really affect the stock price."

I don't buy it honestly. I think Triple H would be groomed for the position more and Vince doesn't seem that far off his rocker.

Former WWE star Gene Snitsky, who took shots at The Miz throughout his reign as WWE Champion via Twitter, continues to belittle his former colleague.

During Chavo Guerrero's Twitter diatribe of John Cena on Saturday, the third generation grappler took a potshot at The Miz. He wrote, "And frankly no one believes it anymore. If Miz can kick your ass then the clerk at the store can kick your ass, so please deliver if you say that.."

The former Heat headliner wholeheartedly agreed with Chavo's critical assessment of The Miz.

"Well said chavo!" Snitsky typed. "Wtf is seriously scared of the fukn Miz? Ru kiddin me!!!!"

A follower of Snitsky's said The Miz "is awesome," to which he replied, "RU fukn kiddin me? Heez a putz and i mean that."

He also ripped WWE Monday night for trying to insult the fans' intelligence by implying that John Cena would be dismissed from the organization.

"Well here we go again with the wwe trying to insult our intelligence!" Snitsky wrote. "Does anyone really think John Cena is gettin fired? Wtf cmon rukidinme."

Snitsky was backstage looking for work at last month's SmackDown taping in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He revealed recently on Twitter that he was not offered a contract to return.

Orton is a clear number 2 behind Cena, and if he's not careful he'll end up as number 3 behind punk.

Probably a bit of sour grapes on Chavo and Snitsky's parts but that doesn't mean there isn't some truth to what they said. Eve Torres could probably kick the Miz's ass.

A lot of guys were chickensh** heels but even they could believably back up their mouths sometimes.

Its hilarious how Punk did more with a B ppv main even than Miz did with a huge show like Wrestlemania which he walked into AS champion.

Thats the difference between a great main eventer and a mediocre mizcarder.

Yeah Orton's the number 2 guy but he's not exactly super over. With him and Cena its kind of like being king of sh** hill. They are on top...but its sort of by default. The roster as a whole isn't as popular as it once was.
