So...since the bell never rang does Del Rio still have his MITB shot? Could he cash in tomorrow? Does Punk get stripped of it at some point. if he does he has to be coming back soon and it will be with a ton of momentum.

Can he be stripped of it if he's not tied to a contract?

Del Rio never actually cashed it in. Whoever has the case needs to give it to the ref or Vince then the bell has to be rang. If I remember correctly Miz did something like this once.

Yeah, I think both Miz and Swagger bailed once when whoever they tried to cash in on recovered before the bell rang.

Kudos to WWE for NOT doing their usual predictable booking. A lot of us had a feeling Punk would win the title but I gotta admit I didn't think he'd leave the PPV with it.

HOLY CRAP!WWE didn't screw up.Could this be the beginning of something great?!

Thats what I'm saying. Since the bell never rang I don't think he cashed in and he can still use it later.

I totally thought Del Rio was gonna cash it in,and win.I wonder what's gonna happen Monday.

Yeah, I think that's something that they're ignoring for the story. I'm pretty sure Bret said at the time that if he won before he left that the title would just be vacated. The same thing happened with Trish. She left the WWE as the women's champion, and the title was just vacated until they had their tournament to find the new champion.

OMG I never believed they would end the PPV like that I thought atleast Punk would win and then Del Rio would cash in and be successful but no. WWE FINALLY U FINALLY DID SOMETHING RIGHT THIs whole PPV was epic

Bryan winning MITB

Christian winning The World Title

Punk winning and Escaping with the title FRICKEN EPIC.

Best PPV of the year.Let's give credit to Cena.He pulled all the stops tonight!

He could "storyline" wise easily be stripped since he's not defending it for WWE. He could retain a physical belt but "kayfabe" wise WWE could strip him of the title since he's not defending it and hold a tournament to crown a new champion.

Just want to take a moment to say that Benstamania and TripleR are both awesome. Upstanding people the two of them.

I'm curious to see how they get around the whole Cena being fired (especially since he got in the way of them putting an end to it)

Punk's contract isn't officially up tonight. We could just get him on Raw but I'm assuming he's renewed his contract.

I thought they might have him be in cahoots with McMahon if he did walk out champion but the way he left and them continuing like this is amazing.

Sounds like a really awesome ppv going by the results.

wait......what......did Punk actually win and leave with the title??!! :wow:

I'm wondering now... Does Punk stay and go up against the new "Corporation"? Maybe with Cena "getting fired" Vince will send Triple H after Punk?

That was easily the best show they've put out this year. Between the first MITB, Show/Henry, Orton/Christian and Punk/Cena this was a flat out 5 star show.

Wow you gave Punk/Cena five stars? Now I really gotta see this match.

Cena and Punk was fantastic. About three missed spots here and there but other than that... Great. I'd be tempted to call it match of the year due to how emotional it was. I skipped my workout to watch this tonight and I think I easily sweated just as much had I ran 2 miles on the treadmill.

I'm pretty sure the reports said that it definitely is up tonight, and that his extension went to the PPV only.
