This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]505125[/split]
Christ that's a dumb argument.
"So much for those who want to vilify the NRA in the wake of the Texas massacre in Sutherland Springs, Texas, on Sunday: Stephen Willeford, the man who shot and chased the man who killed 26 people in a Texas church, is an NRA instructor. Willeford insisted, Im no hero; I am not. I think my God, my Lord, protected me and gave me the skills to do what needed to be done."
The NRA is the reason we have the insane gun laws that allow people like the killer to get his hands on these weapons that can kill an entire church congregation.
Rather than have sensible laws restricting gun ownership we just have to hope that someone in the crowd is a good shot.
Apparently you missed the part where the Air Force failed to report the shooter's domestic violence history. The NRA is not to blame.
It seems that the majority of the murders are in gun free zones where liberal politics rule. Urban areas that tend to vote heavily Democratic such as Baltimore, Detroit or Chicago have the biggest gun problems. They also have the strictest gun laws.
This shows that areas, not gun laws are the biggest problem. Gun free zones are most prone to school shootings.
We protect our Politicians, our Banks, Numerous out door events, and homes with guns. But not our children in schools in many cases. This makes no sense.

Apparently you missed the part where this happens all the ****ing time regardless of the Air Force. Las Vegas? Orlando? Sandy Hook? You want me to keep going?
If the NRA stopped this insanity, we wouldn't have to worry about psychos like this guy being able to buy a weapon with which they can kill an entire church congregation from a sporting goods store.
The Sandy Hook shooter obtained the guns from his mom. The Orlando and Vegas shooters passed background checks. Other than a ban on bumpstocks, I'm not sure what gun control measures would even be effective. Maybe we should improve the current laws that should have stopped these atrocities, instead of adding new laws on top of existing ones. Saying "common sense gun control" is meaningless if can't name a specific policy that would have stopped the shooter.
The problem with that is, one can make a bumpstock since they're easy to make. I question if mass shootings would be stopped if more laws were put in place, especially because one could go to Mexico and get a gun since it's impossible to guard the entirety of the northern and southern borders. Not that it'd be worth my while, but I could go to Oakland right now and get a gun off the street. If there's no paper work, there's no way to trace it.The Sandy Hook shooter obtained the guns from his mom. The Orlando and Vegas shooters passed background checks. But this week Congress is embarking on what could be a potentially successful GOP-backed effort to sweep away state conditions for concealed-carry weapons licenses, at least when it comes to nonresidents. The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, a top priority of the National Rifle Association, would stipulate that once you have a license in any state (and some states issue them to nonresidents) then any other state which in any circumstances allows concealed carry (i.e., all 50 of them) must honor that license.
Need to Pack a Gun for That Trip to Grandmas House? Congress Considers National Concealed-Carry Rights Just in Time for Xmas
This seems like a really bad idea. Whatever happened to states' rights?

You can say there's no such thing as the Deep State, but as for me and Bannon we believe!
States Rights only matter when they're being used to perpetrate the Far Right agendas that would never fly on a national level.
In what way should that not apply to goddamn AR15? That's not for hunting. It isn't even particularly practical for home defense unless you're planning to gun down 20 people attacking your front porch.
I live 40 minutes from the closest police station. On a dirt road where my nearest neighbor is half mile away in each direction. There are no street lights for miles. Someone could kill me and take up residence here and it would take forever for anyone to even notice.I have yet to hear a remotely convincing argument as to why these guns should be widely available.

I had someone come to my house to do some work and when they left they didnt close my door going from the house to the garage which alerted ADT. I missed their call and by the time I called them back, 45 minutes had passed. The police STILL hadent arrived at my house.
Any idea what 3 guys, possibly armed, with bad intentions can do in 45 minutes....
Dont you love it when other people tell you what you do and dont need.
Ill keep my AR and 30 round mags thank you.
Oh BTW, One of the rifles I have is a Daniel Defense Ambush, which was designed for... hunters. But its still a AR.
