I'd heard about a Kentucky, but didn't realize there had been ten others already.

I'd heard about a Kentucky, but didn't realize there had been ten others already.![]()
As to the Kentucky shooting....a friend's niece not only went to the school but was good friends with both of the deceased. She's pretty tore up about it.
It seems that the majority of the murders are in gun free zones where liberal politics rule. Urban areas that tend to vote heavily Democratic such as Baltimore, Detroit or Chicago have the biggest gun problems. They also have the strictest gun laws.
This shows that areas, not gun laws are the biggest problem. Gun free zones are most prone to school shootings.
We protect our Politicians, our Banks, Numerous out door events, and homes with guns. But not our children in schools in many cases. This makes no sense.
Apparently you missed the part where the Air Force failed to report the shooter's domestic violence history. The NRA is not to blame.
The Sandy Hook shooter obtained the guns from his mom. The Orlando and Vegas shooters passed background checks. Other than a ban on bumpstocks, I'm not sure what gun control measures would even be effective. Maybe we should improve the current laws that should have stopped these atrocities, instead of adding new laws on top of existing ones. Saying "common sense gun control" is meaningless if can't name a specific policy that would have stopped the shooter.
Why do we need to have these kinds of weapons in circulation in the first place? Let's start with that. Then talk about how we can outlaw them.
I've actually shot AR-15s. Yeah it's fun. But does the average civilian need that? Hell no. I have yet to hear a remotely convincing argument as to why these guns should be widely available.
This seems like a really bad idea. Whatever happened to states' rights?
A person can do just as much damage in public with 2 semi auto pistols.
You know, I still feel safer unarmed and knowing the vast majority of the people around me are unarmed/have had mandatory gun safety training and background checks than I ever would if I knew everyone around me could get a gun easily.
Haha new members that join and go straight to the Politics section are funny.
Also, I'd love to see the evidence that the majority of mass shootings in the US were committed by registered Democrats.
You can always tell a "newbie" is someone previously banned by how they respond in the Politics forum and then use sketchy "sources" to back up even sketchier claims.
And pray tel what would YOU call non-sketchy? MSNBC? CNN? Washington post.. ?? ALL THREE highly liberal sources...
Liberal doesn't always mean sketchy.![]()
Another day, another mass shooting. 18th school shooting of the year in the USA. No gun problems. NOPE SIR!
