Um, you obviously don't know the story of Hitman right? You do realize he was raised in the labs in which he was created in? He was considered one of the rare successful clones that was created.
So yes, he was educated and trained in the art of killing, and to some extent he was raised by the doctors and that's the concept they should've went with in my opinion. Trying to make him relatable is just a stupid idea because you're not supposed to be able to relate to a killer.
Hitman isn't Jigsaw aka John Kramer(Saw) who you can relate to and see where he's coming from with his views.
There is no way to have a wide audience sit down and watch a movie where the main character is completely cold, quiet, and gives you no way to relate. It just wouldn't work.
The Terminator became relatable in Terminator 2, why? Because instead of the villian, he became the 'main' character.
It's just how things go. Yes fans of the games would be able to watch a movie where he's just a badass who takes out everyone and has no moral center, but general people wouldn't.
