Olyphant looks alot more like 47 than Bateson does.

That doesn't make any sense at all and you know it, he cast Viggo Mortensen, a top class actor who doesn't look mid 50's with no personality.

My point is Peter Jackson went with actors who weren't virtually well known.

They were known yes, but they weren't well known and he even admitted that he considered the actors/actresses unknowns with the exception of Elijah and Liv. And who's to say you can't touch up Bateson to give him a 47 look?

And he definitely has personality. 47 isn't supposed to be some lively individual anyways.

I think we should all be glad that we didn't get Vin Diesel. Olyphant hasn't convinced me totally, but I'm willing to give him a chance. The only thing that really bothers me is that he just looks so young, and doesn't really have the badass killer vibe.

And Olyphant is not exactly well know but he has enough exposure and cred as an actor to be a good pick, plus touching Bateson up would take a minor miracle, he's an old looking guy with nothing about him, 47 in the games may well be great as a zero charisma character while you play badass with your PS2 controller, but in a movie you need to connect with the lead character.

Because everyone is complaining that he's too old looking, so touch him up and let him play the character that he's known for. If you look at the game 47 isn't young anyways.

Your list is all over the place, Smith is a mega star, Tobey is Spidey and that's it, Jackman is a star in the making but hasn't exactly had a ton of hits, Olyphant is not anywhere near as famous as any of those, he is a TV actor with a rom com and a DH4 villain role to his name.

Ian McKellum and Christopher Lee I would say yeah, Weaving from the matrix films alone almost trumps Maguire and Jackman before they became "Superheroes"
Olyphant before Die Hard, was only recognized as Hollywood Jack from that one "ok" Vin Diesel movie.

The website for my theatre has showtimes posted through Thursday the 22nd and no Hitman. However, they sometimes start Wednesday releases on Fridays. I really hope this is one of those times.

I wonder what he'd look like with the kind of lighting where you wouldn't see his eyes. Most pics of Game 47 I could never or barely see his eyes, so I wonder what movie 47 would look like compared to that. It doesn't really matter, but it make me curious.
