he kicks ass in The Girl Next Door. i'm looking forward to this movie now.

Awesome choice. Olyphant is pretty great in all of his roles, and like cryptic said, I'm looking forward to it too.

if there were a Green Lantern movie, then he's my Guy Gardner :gl:

My interest in this movie has grown considerably since it's not Vin Diesel. I just might buy a ticket

So when are we going to start seeing some Manips? Or is Hitman not popular enough for that?

Yeah he does. But to be fair he kicks ass in almost any role. I liked his character in Go as the Drug Dealer Todd Gaines.

I can't see him as Agent 47. Maybe make up and the bald head will do the trick.

same here. I dig the guy's work, but he doesn't really do it for me. and I'm not even saying that because he has hair, I'm talking about the face, really. doesn't look that threatening to me.

Yep. We're on the same page.

Yay for Timothy Olyphant.

I wasn't too crazy about the guy before Deadwood, but now I adore him.

I don't get why so many people wanted Jason Statham as 47. Sure, he's bald and played a sort of psuedo 47 role in The Transporter films, but he just doesn't have the cold-blooded aura of menace that is essential to play the character.

lol, I wonder what Uwe Boll thinks about this...

not sure how good he is for the role, but he definately is an awesome actor, so i'll hold judgement.

I wish people would stop with the whole Statham for Agent 47 BS. I like Statham myself, but The Transporter in a sense is like Agent 47 only he's a bit more talkative and has an attraction to the opposite sex.

I know David Bateson(the voice of Agent 47 and they used his face as a model for Agent 47) wanted to play him too.

Well he is the bad guy in Die Hard 4 so I am pretty sure you will get to see him in threatening mode there...haha.

Great news, hell anybody but Vin Diesel is great news.

that he does. the reason i mention Girl Next Door specifically is the scene where bursts into the classroom to confront Matt, and the teacher starts to say something, and he snaps and points at the teacher and stares at him till he sits down and shuts up. i want to be that guy.

I loved that scene. He was the best thing about that movie.

Yeah i know also loved then he was like Stay in School and points his finger at them. And when those *****e football players are on his car and call him a F*g he just throws the guy the guy thats on his car to the ground and they scatter way.

Yeah that be cool to just to do that. I think i'm going go watch the girl next door right now.

"Sir are you alright?"..."yea"..."Are you sure cuz u just went through a wall"

While we're on the topic of Agent 47. How do you think the film itself should start? In my opinion I think it would be neat to have them show how he was created as a genetically enhanced clone, his training, and him escaping from the medicial facility.

Hitman is a brilliant concept and Agent 47 is a badass all around.

Looks like it might not be...

While talking up his latest film, Catch and Release (starring Jennifer Garner and, yes, Kevin Smith) the actor finally set the record straight. Olyphant dispelled any rumors that he had signed on to star in Hitman, and said that while he's engaged in some talks about the job, "I don't think I've ever been officially attached to it contrary to the internet. It sounds fun. It sounds pretty cool. I've seen the pictures. I've never played the game but it looks cool. Lord knows what I'd look like when this hair comes off. It's a major concern." Forget the hair, I'm thinking it might be more of a concern that he's willing to star in a film that was originally a Vin Diesel vehicle.

Ah ****, why are they taking so long? Maybe they should just go ahead and cast David Bateson(voice of Agent 47) and as we know, his face is used as the model of Agent 47 as well.

I know Bateson has been campaigning long, hard, and consistently to do the role in a live action format. He obviously looks like him, has the voice, has theater and film experience, and could possibly do it if they just put their fear of an unknown behind them and just do it.
