Justice League The Home Release Thread - Hopes & possible fears

And then we can replace Elfman's score with Junkie/ Zimmer's. :woot:

Details of DVD / blu ray home release....

Thanks to an early listing on Amazon India, we may have just received our first look at the Steelbook cover art for the upcoming Blu-ray release of Zack Snyder's Justice League and just like the recent reissues of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it will also feature exclusive artwork by DC Comics' Jim Lee.

On another note, Best Buy's website lists Tuesday, March 13, 2018 as the film's home video release date, and while, the date remains unconfirmed, it more or less lines up with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's typical release pattern, which tends to be four months after a film's theatrical launch.

An official press release is likely on the way with the standard edition cover art and details on the special features and technical specifications, but at the moment, with the information we have, it really doesn't seem as though an Extended (or Ultimate) Cut of the divisive film is in the cards, although that's subject to change.

If anything PLEASE PLEASE FIX Superman ‘s digital mouth.

Make it more believable.

That mouth can go a long way for me. I like all of Superman ‘s scenes BUT that mouth since the beginning where the kid was interviewing him totally put a splinter in my mind that still lingers until now.

The way they can fix Superman's mouth is without any FX. He can't still be requiring his moustache can he? Is this a never-ending Mission Impossible shoot? If he's done with it, they could just reshoot Cavill's proper shaven face.

But if they haven't even shot the remainder of the scenes for MI:6 all this time, then Cavill could have shaved it off and regrown it instead of necessitating the removal of his moustache digitally.

Even though Paramount is by no means in the wrong here and they had every right to deny Warner Bros, you gotta imagine part of the reason why they did it was hubris and they are probably taking a sly joy in how they had a hand in the film's embarrassing reception.

Based on their records of trying to mess with Wonder Woman now Aquaman, IMO you're totally correct.

Good luck to them surviving competing with Disney Fox, WB and Universal in the future.

cavill in the middle trying to have a good a relationship with both studios like

Wait what do you mean? Paramount messed with Wonder Woman?

They put Transformers around WW's release date, WW ended up moving forward to early June, and beat the crap out of Transformers.

Justice is served.

Then Paramount been difficult with the Cavill situation when Cruise is injured.

No coincidence.

Not to mention after Aquaman took the December spot, Paramount's like, nah, we'll take that, move over Arthur

They wanted everyone involved in JL to have egg on their face, and thought it would adhere better to Cavill if he still had a moustache and beard. :o

Personally once again I don't even know why they reshot over 90% of Cavil's scenes. Just to have him joke and have a creepy smile throughout the entire movie is no reason to do that. Also they shouldn't have cut out him and Lois talking about being engaged either but it is what it is.

To be quite honest, despite moustache-gate, most people came out of JL happy with Superman's portrayal and want to see more of him so I think WB would consider that a small pyrrhic victory and "justifies" their reshoots. One of their goals with JL was to change the perception of Cavill's Superman and even though we complain, people liked and wanted this version of him since MoS.

Well this is the version of Justice League the people wanted so I can believe that.

Considering the fiasco and embarassment around moustache gate, which made WB and JL a laughing stock all around Hollywood, I very much doubt so.

iTunes has the digital release date for JL listed as Jan 30th, 2018... No mention of an extended edition from what I can tell.

If there even is one, I don't see it coming out until several months from now.

On mustache gate,

Do you think it's something that really mattered to general audiences? I noticed it in the movie, but I also knew of it beforehand.

I took my brother to see JL (who wasn't aware of it), and didn't think there was anything strange about Superman's face.

Had a similar experience with the Rogue One Tarkin CGI. I noticed it, and I knew it was coming. But my dad and brother both thought they just got an actor that looked like the old one.

"Moustache gate" is a big deal for people who care enough to give it such a name...like most things we discuss here.

The general audience doesn't really care for this sorta stuff...at least definitely not to the level we do.

I dont think so, I dont think the GA cares about it much. But I was talking to a girl in my class, and she said she hated JL as well, and told me about how HC had a weird face, and when I started to explain about moustache-gate, she told me "I know what happened, you dont have to mansplain". So much for that :funny:

On the whole, the GA don't notice or don't give a rats ass on this or Tarkin-level CGI shifts.
