I'm avoiding it.
I liked that one too. I watched it on Netflix last summer. I thought it was a Danish movie though (Amsterdam is in Denmark, right?).
Anyway, worth watching if you can find it.
A couple of things...
I watched Byzantium. It was one of my most anticipated movies of the year. I liked it, didn't love it. As far as modern vampire movies go, it was certainly above most of the pack (Kiss of the Damned, Twilight, Embrace of the Vampire etc) had the proper mood etc. I just think it was a tad predictable.
Also, JUST finished watching Curse of Chucky. This was MUCH better than I expected! It actually managed to create a true Horror mood, despite the franchise's inherent (and prior) silliness. Yes, it relied on some tried and true tricks...but so did The Conjuring...and...you know what...I think I liked this more. Maybe it was because I was expecting so little and got something good (while expecting something great from The Conjuring and getting something good).
EDITED TO SAY: I do wish that they had not included a few mentions of prior films, especially the latter films, which I think should just be washed away, but ended up playing heavily on this film. I'd rather it have been a vague sequel that happened at some point after Child's Play and leave it at that.
Um, I don't know if you're kidding, but Amsterdam is in The Netherlands.I liked that one too. I watched it on Netflix last summer. I thought it was a Danish movie though (Amsterdam is in Denmark, right?).

Yeah. Just like the US and Canada. It's all the same thing up there isn't it?![]()
Ha ha, fair enough.Canada is apart of the US, it just doesn't realize it yet.

Just did Silent Night Deadly Night as part of my Christmas Marathon, the deerhead on the wall kill has got to be my favorite from that franchise.
Micheal Spence: The biggest issue with shooting it was that it was in the snow, and it was cold. For me, Second Unit shooting involved a lot of night stuff: I remember shooting the scene when the girl lands on the antlers and flies through the window. I had to do some stuff outside, and it was at three or four oclock in the morning, trying to get it done before the sun came up. A lot of the time, it was drinking a lot of coffee and stamping your feet a lot.
Saw Sightseers last night. It's being touted as one of the best Horror movies of the year. I really liked it, though it was only barely Horror.
A guy and his girlfriend go on a sightseeing tour in hopes that it will provide some inspiration for his writing. They aren't right in the head.
Since the whole movie follows them, and they are the "protagonists" in the film, it doesn't give a Horror vibe when they attack people etc. In fact, the movie is very funny. I laughed out loud a few times, so thats a winner for me.
t:i liked the trailer but have avoided this one. i might give a try because you mentioned the comedy angle. there hasn't been a good killer couple movie since 'Perfect Getaway.'t:
I haven't watched any horror movies since my October Halloween Marathon. I think I'll watch Black Christmas. Are there any other Christmas related horror films out there?
Sightseers.
