I've been in the mood to watch Halloween 6 recently. Don't judge me.

I wouldn't judge you, because besides Halloween and Halloween 2 H6 is one of my favorites in the series. I am beyond excited to finally get the producers cut as well officially released in HD quality with the Halloween collection. Don't worry bro I got your back haha :cwink:

Speaking of HD, I'm glad they put out Halloween III on blu ray. It looks pretty great on my hdtv.

Another one of my favorites in the series, as it's own stand alone film it's great I think. Definitely not for everyone, but it has a cult following kinda vibe going.

Whoa, the Producer's Cut is finally getting an official release??

Yeah, H6 is probably my favorite in the series behind H1 and H2 -- tied with H20 maybe. It's got the creepiest vibe of them all, the best Michael Myer's mask after the original, and I love the brutality of The Shape in it.

Yeah it's going to be part of the Halloween collection coming out on Blu-ray.

Here's a screenshot of how the transfer is on the new 'Halloween 6 Producer's Cut' compared to the old bootleg version:

That's awesome. To be honest, I don't think the PC is a massive improvement over the theatrical cut, but it definitely is a bit better and more of a fully-formed version of the story.

I love Both the theatrical and P-cut but just glad I finally can tore away my bootleg DVD of the P-cut hah. And yeah I'd say H6 is one of my favorite Myers masks behind H1 and H2. And I loved that they used the H6 mask for the beginning of H20.

So does anyone have any recommendations for good streaming sites? I really want to see The Babadook, but I have had an usually hard time finding a streaming source for it. Usually when I type a film into google I find a streaming site with the film on there pretty quick.

I love Halloween 6, its a great film, but the theatrical cut has far more problems than the producer's cut. The PC also has a better soundtrack.

I watched Rigor Mortis yesterday. I wasn't excited for it, since several of my friends told me it was dull. I really liked it. It was awesome to see Anthony Chan, Chin siu Ho, Chung Fat, Richard Ng, Billy Lau and Kara Hui in the same movie. I loved the throwbacks to Mr Vampire. That alone made it interesting to me. I also liked how the main character was actually the building, it reminded me of Kung Fu hustle in that regard.

Visually, it was beautiful, save for a few bad CGI. The atmosphere was simply incredible, and some visuals were haunting. It didn't feel like Mak was ripping off japanese horror, because he really used chinese folklore, so it was really its own beast.

The character arcs were interesting. The story as a whole, was actually quite good. Even the so called twist was well made. I mean, it did make sense, considering the main character's arc.

Action wise, it was light. The first fight wasn't that great. Chin Siu Ho doesn't remember how to throw a punch. Which is a pity. when you put someone like him against Chung Fat, the action should be amazing. The climax was way better on every account.

It was a great surprise to me. I only regret how little Richard Ng actually does, because he's awesome.

We need more horror anthologies!:woot:

Agreed, I'm thinking Tales from the Crypt should get a revival. And even though it wasn't "horror" per se I'd love to see a newer adaptation of The Outer Limits (lots of episodes in there tend to be scary or end on a scary note).

You're Next... I don't get what people honestly saw in that film.

That it was amazing for one thing.
I mean the score is one of the best throwbacks to the likes of Goblin's scores of the Demons movies and a lot of Argento movies for me.

The lead girl is a capable person. The people aren't stereotypical or cliche and make honest mistakes that lead to their doom. I personally saw the end coming because I was that into the movie, but I can definitely see how it would catch people off-guard. And it's about time a home invasion movie has been done right after the overrated The Strangers which was ok at best.

Nice list.

I'm still working on mine, like every year, it'll be a mix of horror films I've never seen before and my favorites like The Thing, Trick R Treat, Halloween III, and The Mist.

Yes, we do:up:

:highfive:

And:highfive:

I agree. I haven't seen all of the Tales from the Crypt episodes, but I love the Tales from the Crypt movie, and Vault of Horror.

Outer Limits have some very good episodes...if they make a movie, they should include "Architects of Fear". Imagine how scary the monster could look today.

Maybe even Creepshow could get a revival.

Creepshow 3!:cmad:

Nice List, since you already have two Henenlotter films, may I suggest a 3rd one, Brain Damage, which is also pretty good and insane. Also (off the top of my head and on the cult end side, besides the last one):
Motel Hell
Deranged
Audition
Henri portrait of a serial killer
The Funhouse
Maniac Cop
Without Warning
Alone in the Dark (The Jack Sholder one)
Man Bites Dog
Nosferatu

I've only seen the first Creepshow, but I was told to stay away from 2 and 3.

I thought The Strangers was a far better offering, but I also haven't seen it since it was released so my may opinion could change. I thought the greed plot in You're Next and the acting was terrible. Why can't they make these kind of movies with actual likeable characters. I feel like every project Ti West and his VHS buddies are involved in could have been much better in more capable hands.
