On the topic of found footage, I wanted to check out that yeti movie, heard some good things about it

Willow Creek? Pretty good film. Has a similar pacing to Blair Witch. The female lead shines imo. Worth a watch for sure.

I've seen housebound. I even managed to make my wife watch it with me (she hates horror movie). It was really fun. Great actors, well shot, well cut, smartly written. It did remind me of that movie with Caity Lotz where her sister disappear in their mother's house, but it was better.

The Enfield Haunting mini series on Sky a few months ago was pretty good. Timothy Spall and Matthew Macfadyen were great as Maurice Grosse and Guy Lyon Playfair.

So a friend lend me the ALIEN movie collection in dvd, I've just seen Alien and Aliens, now I'm about to start with Alien 3. I've heard that the last 2 are very bad, but I want to see for myself.

Yeah you've already seen the best two alien films with 1&2. But if you just wanna see some Alien action and kills without expecting anything amazing like the first two films then 3 and resurrection will suffice.

Alien 3 has a couple redeeming factors. I'll say a couple of soundtrack choices and hammy acting from some take down the entertainment factor a bit. It's not as strong as the first two movies but I really don't think it's a bad movie at all.

They can't be as bad as AVP or Requiem right? RIGHT????

I honestly don't think the first AvP is that horrible. To me it's like FvJ. It's just so cool to see those character in a movie together with crazy action/kills going on. That I don't let some of the other stuff like plot etc really ruin it.

They're entertaining ya know? That's just me haha. AvP is definitely entertaining to me and way better then AvPR. That one is like, what.

I guess I don't mind requiem too much, but it's definitely not as good as the first AvP at least to me. I did like the Predalien though.

I was just exagerating a bit, the AvPs movies do get some unfounded hate.

Alien vs Predator Unrated was a decent movie, Requiem was a weird, slasher-like film with aliens and predators as opposed to someone like Michael Myers. Oh, and you couldn't even see **** in that movie. Yeah, I think Requiem is terrible, I'd be a bit better if I could actually see what was happening.

i've finally seen the guest. It was awesome. Stevens was incredible.

I've also seen John dies at the end. I prefer bubba ho tep, because it has some emotional layers to it. But John was quite fun. It's a pity they didn't keep that twist from the book though. The first scene is still great.

I've also seen dark floors. Some great visuals, lots of terrible acting, rock star playing demons (badly), some interesting ideas, but it could have been so much better. It's heavily inspired by Silent Hill obviously.

I really like AVP, Requiem had some interesting parts but from what I remember it had too much shaky cam and quick cutting, it was hard to see sometimes.

I can agree with this, but lighting wise, everything looked fine.

Just recently watched The Guest and It Follows. Thought both had poor third acts but overall really enjoyed them. Wasn't creeped out by It Follows until for the past two nights I tried going to sleep thinking I was going to hear the bedroom door knob start shaking.

Maika Monroe's acting is terribly wooden in both movies.
