There is no way in hell he's getting $550,000 with 28 days to go, but best of luck to him

It's not supposed to be scary.

Yes I know but why ridicule something like horror characters just to make fun of them. Should have posed Chevy Chase wearing a sweater of Clark Griswold, Steve Martin wearing a sweater of The Jerk & Dan Akroyd wearing one of Dr. Detroit. That would have been worth a laugh!

New Line Cinema
#TheConjuring2 filming began bright and early this morning with a priest blessing the set!

...were there issues during the filming of the last one? LOL

Its not a joke image though. Its an advertisement. The sweaters are for sale.

Anyone planning on doing "31 Days of Horror" this October?

I am, I just need a couple more titles on my list and I should be good to go.

I forget if I have posted this here already. If not... Enjoy. If I have... Enjoy again. :sly:

Not bad.

This is my go to mash up video to get me hyped up for October.

I've never done a horror marathon or anything, and I've never been a huge fan of the genre, though I enjoy them when they come on. There's a LOT of the classics that I haven't seen... This year, I'll endeavor to watch as many as I can for October.

That was pretty sweet Kane. The ending with the Price laugh was great.

P.S. come to the Official Film Recommendations thread and give some Horror themed suggestions. It's really not my genre per se and seeing as October is around the corner and all, you could give some good suggestions to the folks out there.

I caught the movie "Ginger Snaps" from the year 2000 on Hulu. It is definitely one of the better werewolf movies that I've seen more or less ever. The film focuses on a pair of teenage sisters, one of whom is bitten by a werewolf. This film very directly relates lycanthropy to puberty as has often been done by male characters. The film is very well acted and a lot of the effects are well done. Highly recommended.

I think you meant she was bitten by a werewolf. Last time I checked, getting bit by a vampire didn't turn people into werewolves.

Fun fact, the girl who played Ginger in the movie was the same actress who played young Beverly in Steven King's "IT".

Just watched the fan film, The Confession of Fred Krueger. I remember seeing the trailer on here sometime back but finally seen the whole film.

It was fantastic, good acting, good production values and Ken Roach was a excellent as Fred Krueger. If you give it a watch stay until the end credits, there's a nice little stinger.

I would love to see New Line give us a prequel film, even if it's a straight to DVD thing of a mini series. Probably never happen though unfortunately.

Werewolf certainly. Brainfart in the middle of the night.

I just watched it myself. It was okay. It took a few liberties with Freddy's official origins, and I think they made Freddy more of a caricature of a psychopathic killer rather than a realistic portrayal of one.

I think Roberto Lombardi did a slightly better job of portraying Freddy as The Springwood Slasher in Blinky Productions' series of short films "A Tale From Elm Street", "Another Tale From Elm Street", "A Walk Through Elm Street", and "A Slasher On Elm Street". Those ones also kept closer to established story canon, depicting Freddy as a devoted husband and father when he wasn't abducting and murdering the neighborhood children.

That's just my opinion though.

I will agree with you on one thing though. A Nightmare On Elm Street prequel about Freddy's days as The Springwood Slasher would be pretty sweet. I kinda doubt Robert Englund would star in it anymore (although when I asked him about the possibility of that ever happening at the 2014 Vancouver Fan Expo, he said he'd love to). But maybe Robert Englund would take over as director, and hand the role over to Mr Lombardi (or at the very least Mr Roach).

For those of you who would like to watch and compare the different fan treatments . . .

I usually just fill up my weekends with horror during October cause I have work during the week. Always certain films that are must watch.

Watched "House by the Cemetery" by Lucio Fulci last night for the first time. Loved every nonsensical minute of it. I'll never forget the name "Dr. Freudenstine".

Does anyone know if "The Beyond" is worth checking out?

Lombardi was my Englund sequel I will say that but Ken Roach made the role his own in my opinion which is what is needed IMO for Freddy to continue and move on. Also you say it takes liberties with the origin but we have already had two versions of the origin, yes they were very similar but there were differences. Again this is what Elm Street needs. It's time to make changes and move on from the original which unfortunately the remake didn't do.

Good post though man we just have a few differences in opinion :woot:
