"THE HULK" by Loeb and McGuinness

They are getting a mini. Only 5 issues. The Hulk takes place after the events of WWH so I assume the Warbound will be in it.

Personally, I don't think the Warbound will be around much longer after their mini. Could very well be wrong, of course.

They won't maintain their popularity for a very long time after the event I assume... like how New Warriors have already started their slide... ironically the order seems to be improving... but you can see how this'll apply to the warbound their mini and future appearences...

I'd bet Miek's going to bite the bullet before the end of this.

Miek will be revealed to have caused the explosion and I'm betting that while the Hulk would want to kill him for it, one of the other Warbound actually does.

I have been thinking the same thing but not quite sure it is not the Hulk himself who redeems himself by going after Miek and freeing the others.

I doubt Pak has the Hulk commit actual murder. He's been toying with every so often in WWH, but each time he either has the Hulk back down or something happens to stop the Hulk from killing anyone.

Hmm, could be. My bet's on Elloe if it goes down like that. She's the second-quickest to homicidal rage after Miek.

I believe so. I haven't looked at that cover in a while.

I hope the Warbound stick around, even as background fodder. They may be new characters themselves, but they've got a great pedigree with ties all over the Marvel universe. Korg has his history with Thor, Brood has hers with the X-Men, Hiroim is a badass space monk, Elloe... well, Elloe could probably die and I wouldn't care, but Korg, Brood, and Hiroim have to stick around.

Miek being absent leads me to believe he dies. That leads me to believe someone kills him. And since the theory of one of the Warbound causing the explosion is a very good one, my eyes are on Miek.

Why would they turn on Hulk, honetsly now.

He free'd them all after all.

I wouldn't mind seeing them butt heads with Nova, either during or after their mini.

Yes, Miek is probably going to die. I think there's some confusion about my earlier comment. You said you thought Miek caused the explosion and one of the Warbound would kill him to keep the Hulk from doing so. My guess on who kills Miek, if it does happen that way, is Elloe. I didn't mean to imply that Elloe would've been responsible for the explosion.

Miek went on and on about how the Hulk taught him to "never stop making them pay" in Planet Hulk. It makes perfectly twisted sense for him to destroy the Hulk's happy, peaceful life so that he can get the Hulk back to making his own enemies pay. He'd think he's doing the Hulk a favor, letting him leave the trappings of a happy life and get back to what he was meant for.

Exactly. In that way, it's not turning on the Hulk at all.
