"THE HULK" by Loeb and McGuinness

I've watched enough cop shows to know how to get away with murder. Plus, there's a pig farm about 30 minutes away from my house.

My dad stopped at a pig farm during a family trip once. I have no idea why to this very day. He thought it would be cool, but everyone except for him stayed in the car and told him to drive us the **** out of there.

No, my dad's just weird and wanted to check out a pig farm. He honestly just does stuff like that on a whim.

Sure. Just like he kills people on a whim and dumps the bodies during family vacations.

Pretty much all of CW was a red herring.
For example:huh: . You can't use afterthefact stuff either.

Because for me, with both the comics and the movies, what I see the most of is: you hear a rumor from the company making it, fanboys don't like the rumor (go into denial about it), and everything they see from that point on that confirms it is "red herring".

Cap's death. Iron Man's death. The Watcher's involvement. THOR coming back. Need more?
The Watcher is the only thing you mentioned that truely a 'red herring'. The rest are just plot twists/ and or fanboy driven rumors.

I'm passing on this. I already pick up Incredible Hulk, no need for a second Hulk book IMO. Plus I tend to only pick up one book of characters. One Batman, one Spider-Man, one Superman (I've been breaking this rule lately because of Johns and Donner), one Wolverine, etc..

2008 such an incredible month for the Hulk.

Am i the only one who thinks a Red Hulk looks really awesome?:wow:

You know what the a 'red herring' is right:huh: . Because Clone Thor, Captain America dying and rumors of other deaths are not 'red herrings'.

If it's a rumor perpetuated by Marvel itself to distract the reader from what's really going to happen, then yes, it's a red herring. And everything I listed is just that.

Captain America really did die. No one ever said "that's the real Thor". And the Iron Man holding Cap's shield was a fan manip (well...the Cap colors were). Marvel put out the picture of Iron Man: Director of Shield...which, again, turned out to be real. Also, outright lying is not red herring. Its erronious information within a story....

So, no they weren't red herrings. Red Herrings is when something is done within a work of literature that seems important at the time and latter turns out to be of little or no consequence...like the Watcher showing up in the beginning and never appearing again. Another example would be on Law and Order: SVU when they interview a suspect who later on turns out to be uninvolved in the murder. Or if they spent time studying a stab wound pattern only to find out it had nothing to do with the killer's MO.

Right off the bat, you're wrong. Yes, Cap did die. However in interviews and solicits, it was heavily implied that someone might not make it out of CIVIL WAR #7. That turned out to a distraction for what really happened. Red herring.

Tom Brevoort told us to look to CW #3 for the return of Thor. That turned out to a distraction from what really happened. Red herring.

I think what's happening is that you're thinking strictly in terms of the books. I'm taking into account interviews with the editors and creators and solicits. They've dropped bits of information here and there that seem important, but turn out to either be insignificant or false. Those are red herrings.

I say that the Red Hulk is Banner. Who in WWH #5 somehow absorbs some of The Sentry's power.

Leaving the Green Hulk to be "The Incredible Cho". Makes sense to me that Pak would continue to write Amadeus in Incredible.

That's all well and good, but that doesn't explain how Cho gets green and ugly.

Hmm... Sentry powered Red Hulk goes crazy, smashing everything in sight. Amadeus (boy genius) turns himself into a Hulk in an attempt to stop him.

He'd have to be a boy genius to "turn himself into a Hulk", wouldn't he? ;)

It seemed like your response to how Cho becomes the Hulk was, "Well, he's a smart guy, so he just turns himself into one." Kinda silly, huh?

Type-face didn't make it out...no love for Type-face:csad:

Yes, I meant red herring strictly in the story itself.

That's an interesting theory. Hadn't thought of that.

They could also have it be accident related since he is trying to construct a massive gamma field.
