Sounds a lot like Battle Royale this series does. Not a bad thing as I love Battle Royale.

Then again it also sounds a little like The Running Man as well. Good mixture of stuff.

yeah there are aspects that are reminiscent of The Running Man. I like to say those parts remind me of a mashup of the Mojoverse (X-Men) and The Running Man

Fan made, its a scene from the second book. It's really awesome though.

Every time I see the title of this movie, I think of that "Who Wants to Eat?" sketch on SNL.

Gale And Peeta on Entertainment Weekly Cover

Particularly impressed with Hutcherson as Peeta. Hemsworth is fine as Gale but iunno there's not enough of a rugged look about him. Always pictured Gale being a little bit more rugged attractive.

Look at that josh's squarejaw! He looks way different from 'The Kids Are All Right'

BtW, I'm happy that spiky hair is dead, unless you from the Jersey Shore or a 'Bro'.

Entertainment Weekly has the first picture of two of the stars of Hunger Games in costume and they look like… well, they just look like dudes in clothes. Maybe they’ve been working in the yard or something, because they look a little grimy, but that one dude on the left is just wearing a black shirt and cargo pants. That’s a costume reveal worthy of an Entertainment Weekly cover? I honestly don’t get this – I would have assumed this was just a regular civilian identity photo shoot if Twitter didn’t insist otherwise.

come one. its stupid. two guys in a tshirt and normal pants are standing . and its a EW cover. this is not cover material

did they expect them to be wearing Capital stuff?

they're from poor District 12, i didn't expect them in anything fancy

The thing is, it's not so much even the normal clothing, on the whole it tells you nothing about the movie. If it's a sci-fi book, there is no sci-fi tone or even any kind of drama to the cover shot, for all the general public know from that photo it's a movie about two guys who go camping and have forgotten to pack their tins of spam and beans.

At least have them standing in dramatic poses in an interesting environment or backdrop, not standing around with folded arms as if they are waiting on the bus.

they're in the environment the book takes place in. its very similar to the Lawrence cover although hers is a much more close up shot. her and Josh are even wearing similar clothing like they're supposed to in the arena

Ok, even if the whole film takes place in a forest, they could at least have had them shot in a more dramatic way in that environment. Use the shadows of the trees, have them standing partially hidden by them, anything to make the image look more dramatic.

The way it is, they have just lumped them together in a straight shot on top of some flat tree-y background. The actors look bored as a result, standing with your arms folded can look one of two ways, as if you are cool, calm and collected and in control of the situation, or as if you are a bit fed up of waiting on the bus. That guy looks like his bus is late.

I was kinda expecting people in this film to look a little more malnourished.
