These actors are looking way too healthy IMO, when I read the book I always envisioned kids/teens that looked frail, they look normal and well, buff.
The difference is Bill is written like a completely irredemable ass even in the books whereas Gale is written as a fleshed out person. Even if he is the other man you're suppose to like him and care about him.
I don't give a **** about Bill over Eric.
And as for the whole Jacob/Edward thing well both of them are creepers. So lol.
The Hunger Games Follow-Up Catching Fire Coming Nov. 2013
Source: Lionsgate August 8, 2011
Lionsgate announced today that it will release Catching Fire, the film adaptation of the second book in Suzanne Collins' runaway bestselling "Hunger Games" trilogy, on November 22, 2013. The announcement was made by Joe Drake, co-COO of Lionsgate and President of its Motion Picture Group. No further details about Catching Fire have been confirmed at this stage.
Said Drake of the date, "The magical thing about the 'Hunger Games' trilogy is that the books have such a vastly broad appeal. The stories truly offer something for everyone, and the period around the Thanksgiving weekend is such an opportunity for families and friends to make an event of going to the movies."
The Hunger Games is currently in production and will be released on March 23, 2012. The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross, and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. Alli Shearmur, President of Development and Production at Lionsgate, is overseeing the production on behalf of the studio.

2 months is IMO enough to lose 5 kg . under the control from doctors and personal trainers. They didnt really have that much time to lose weight. If I remember right Lawrence was announced in March filming started in May right?
Jennifer Lawrence is probably the biggest culprit of the entire cast. Not only is she a bit plump, but on top of that she looks like your typical HS cheerleader. Dying her hair won't change that. Katniss is almost the antithesis of Lawrence.
Gale is not a fleshed out character at all. He's more of a foil for Peeta. Collins turning the Hunger Games trilogy into a semi love triangle didn't work at all. The fact that Gale had feelings for Katniss is not even apparent in the first book to the point you wonder if the author didn't just throw that in at the last minute for the second book.
the problem is not Lawrence. they had enough tim to lose weight. there is just no way that the studio would have hot looking actors and made them look unhealthy.
again. i am not sainy that this will be bad as twilight. twilight is an entertaining female franchise .but this will be their twilight. the actors need to look attractive. end of story. the problem are not the actors.
you could make Lawrence lose weight and use make up to maker her look like the character from the book. but then you couldnt promote it with trailers, posters and magazines.
Anyone who saw Lawrence in Winter's Bone would realize that she's perfectly capable of playing Katniss. That character was no cheerleader.
The "plump" comment isn't even worth a response.![]()
Losing weight is not a priority for a role like this and I don't think it should be either, it'll not distract from her performance which I think she'd do just fine.
Not sure I like the idea that Catching Fire is coming out a year after, they should take their time and not rush the movies out but hey, whatever they think it's the best for the franchise.

But I do agree that a studio wouldnt want malnourished looking stars for a blockbuster movie.
And people seem to keep forgetting that Gale is described in the book as being muscular and Peeta is described as being stocky. SO really the only one who should look malnourished is Katniss/Lawrence
Oh and was this posted?
The core premise of the film is about winning a contest called the "Hunger Games." I'd say losing weight is a priority.
Perhaps you don't think it worthy of a response, because you're know I'm right, and realize that a character who is supposed to be malnourished shouldn't be played by someone that still has baby fat on them.
