because this was 100% build up and no money shots.i dont remember the last time a studio was that dumb.

i think i will watch the movie only for the concept(kids fighting) and Jennifer. visuals look boring and i dont know if there is any action

Fact is, the trailer needed at least one kick ass looking action scene. The fact that is didn't have one is beyond strange.

You can't make trailers for the fans unless your book has Twilight sells. (No book has Potter sells so I'm not going to compare.)

did you not read the statement by Lionsgate? They specifically said this all footage from the first half of the movie. All the action is in the second half. That is a bold move not dumb.

no that is pretty dumb

you have already hooked the book fans they are gonna see it bar it looking like crap so no reason to make a trailer aimed towards them

need to get the casual audience who know nothing about the books since the books are not as popular as say twilight,narnia, or harry potter

The movie comes out in 4 months. I'd expect another trailer in another 2 months, honestly.

Since the books aren't supposed to be a Twilight type thing I was expecting action in the trailer. If Twilight put "action" scenes in it's trailer in 2008.

The fact people are still putting Twilight and this in the same sentence is sad. Especially after the trailer.

Anyway, I thought the trailer was pretty cool. I read the books though, so I really don't care if they didn't put action scenes in it. I think I'd like the trailer if even if never read the books. You just get the feeling that whatever is going to happen in the arena is going to be fun to watch, regardless if they put it in the trailer or not.

I didn't like the whole werewolf/zombie/participant type creatures towards the end, I was hoping for just a final confrontation between Katniss and Cato. The author went too complicated with it and it ended up just taking me out of the experience. Obviously you gotta keep the faking the deaths and what not, that was all great. I just want a different final confrontation.

As someone who hasn't read the books, this trailer does make me quite curious about this movie, although I need to see more before I'll decide whether to see it in theatre or waiting for the DVD instead. Jennifer Lawrence looks pretty nice as a brunette, and Liam Hemsworth reminds me alot of his older brother Chris. The premise of this movie does remind me of the Japanese movie Battle Royale and its sequel, though.

I liked that the trailer builds-up to the game and even though I was let down by the absent of some action footage in it, the end of the trailer with the countdown and the tributes running made me really excited and was enough to compensate for the lack of it. Really excited for this.

the trailer was cool up until i saw that kids face.... i absolutely HATE that kid, he's of of those actors i just cannot stand. he's always been typecast as some brat kid in every movie. he tries so hard to act that it just comes off as annoying/angsty...

the movie automatically loses 2 points because of his brat face

her hair is a mess and has zero make up on helps with the whole dystopian atmosphere always hate when a girl is in a Apocalypse type movies and she still has make up and perfectly styled hair
