When I worked at Ames Dept. Store the music over the intercom drove me nuts. One that made me want to throw myself through the glass cases was "My Inspiration" by Michael Satara. I also despise "Piano Man" by Billy Joel.

While it's nice to know you appreciate The Boss, the fact that you can't see how great an artist Billy Joel negates your credibility.

Doubtful, he isn't really as world renowned as Billy Joel fans make him out to be. To Billy Joel fans he is up there with Elton John, John Lennon or Elvis.
To the rest of the world he is the drunk guy who crashes into houses. I am not sure why not liking plucky 80's piano pop takes away from my credibility when Joel himself is not really that credible, just overrated.

If you seriously believe, then my original point stands.

If Billy Joel is, to the rest of the world, what you say, how do you explain being the sixth all time biggest selling artist worldwide? Also, Billy's music is far more than plucky 1980s' piano pop:

"Scenes From An Italian Restaurant"
"Where's The Orchestra"
"Scandinavian Skies"
"All For Leyna"
"Captain Jack"
"She's Right On Time"
"Until The Night"
"Through The Long Night"
"Laura"
"Miami 2017"

Not one of these songs qualify as "plucky 1980s' pop." In fact, they're serious, mature pieces of music that, get ready for this, are on level with a lot of the best work from The Fab Four, Elton, The Boss or anyone.

I can go on. Why don't you buy an actual album of his instead of basing your opinion solely on the overplayed radio material, m'kay? Then, we'll talk. Until then, game over.
