The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

^Not that in depth I don't think. It was just about one part, that led to just a compliment to Young, I believe. Did anyone catch that reccuring theme, that played throughout the movie? It was played during the beginning when Peter talks to the kids; when the symbiote first attaches to Peter; and when Spiderman is on the church spire; as well as other places.

Well it sorta was in depth,but i dont mind talking about it more. And i did notice that.

But i had asked earlier and i'll ask again. Did you or anyone like when they reused the line."First we strike the heart" Personally i thought that was so cool. When i heard that in the cinema i started to get a feeling of wow,something totally awsome was going to happen like when it was said in the first spider-man.hahahaha.

Yeah that was awesome, especially the way he said it. It was like a shortened version of the lines in the first movie.
"Make him suffer, make him wish he were dead; first we attack his heart!"

Agreed. Spidey's theme is awesome. I get chills from the violins at the beginning of his entrance to this scene; when Gwen gets knocked off the building, by the desk.
I also loved it when the theme played, when him and Harry, were trying to save Mary Jane at the end.

The guy that made that vid is so ignorant he's complaining about Brock's inappropriate behavior when speaking to Gwen's father. Which would be fine, if that wasn't exactly the point of that scene! Get a clue. So many of his criticisms are ridiculous. Maybe he thought picking on a film would make him look smart. It didn't.

I enjoyed Spider-Man 3 a lot. I think it went back to a more comic book flavor, but perhaps too far. The first film was comic booky, but realistic. The second one was just plain real, which made it awesome. The third one went back to comic booky, but beyond what SM1 had. We had stuff like the symbiote, and sandman (sci-fi/out of this world stuff) It gave the movies a different flavor. It was a good movie, but very different from the other movies.

Plus, the visual effects for the symbiote could have been better. All that aside, it was a fun movie!

Ever since i was slightly dissapointed in the cinema and bought the DVD, this movie has just continued to grow on me, i dont what it is, but i'm even starting to like scene's that i originally hated. Its still incredibly flawed, and i'm still pissed about the treatment of Venom (couldnt they have killed him off in a more conspicious way? Actually making it POSSIBLE for him to return!) and i still dont like the fact that Sandman killed Uncle Ben.

But i cant help but enjoy this movie everytime i watch it.

I think if you seperate yourself from how much different this is from the comics, you'll enjoy it a lot more. I mean that about everyone.

Personally, I think that visually, SM3 is the most comic booky, out of the trilogy. But in story it's the least. Or at least tied with SM2.

I think we've had about 19 years (since "Batman") to do that. By now, we as fans should have gotten over ourselves. So often I talk w/comic book fans that have their movies written, cast & filmed in their heads. ANd they become so married to that vision that they reject any deviation, rendering them unable to enjoy any movie that's made. Then they go see it, with built-in disappointment, & come on here & trash it. And they nitpick relentlessly. Peter's hair? So what? How is that important? Harry's costume? Not a big deal. Not enough Venom? The movie wasn't called "Venom Begins". The "Dance number"? Please. I'm so sick of that being referenced like it was some elaborate routine choreographed by Paula Abdul. TMNT 2 had a dance number-in the middle of a fight, no less. "Spider-Man 3" had dancing. In a nightclub. There's a difference.
I enjoyed the movie & I don't agree with ANY of the complaints & criticisms that I've heard or read.

Although he was reluctant, he eventually allowed the symbiote to "handle," his problems. Then once everything seemed to be taken care of, the dance scene happened. So it was basically the symbiote, creating an alternative perfection.

While I agree those critiques are crap, I would agree that at least Brock needed more screen time (not Venom, Brock).

I do feel people reach with some of their SM3 flaws. There are a few, but none that stop me from loving the movie.

I hear people complain about both of them. The scene in the Jazz Club is even more valid to the story. He clearly "dances" to upstage Mary Jane; which is something he would never do, without the symbiote. And in the commentary they explain that; Peter is risking his secret identity, by doing all the over the top "dance moves," to hurt MJ.

I, personally; loved the way Venom looked. A pretty ingenious redesign if you ask me. All he needed was more screen time and more development as Brock and he would've been perfect.

When I was in line last night to see TDK with a friend of mine, I met 2 people that was interested in Batman. I said that Spider-Man 3 was amazing, and one of the kids said S-M3 sucked. Sam Raimi made the film that way on purpose. Then I said, well that's your opinion. What I'm trying to say here is that S-M3 was an amazing film, but because it was so hyped, I guess a few people (from what I heard) found some flaws in the film and started saying it was like Batman Forever. As I have said, S-M3 is the best of the series so far and I think it deserves more respect than it's gotten. I respect everyone's opinion, but I'm really not likeing people saying "emo Peter was bad". He wasn't trying to be emo. The darkness inside Peter was brought out of him and onto his appearance.

So you don't agree with the complaints so they automatically become invalid? I agree that Peter's hair or Harry's Costume shouldn't be huge complaints but when you add them in with every other thing in the movie they become a little more valid. The Venom complaints are valid. No the movie isn't called Venom begins but hell they could of given him an extra 20 mins of screen time and he would of even taken up 1/3 of the film. Venom was on screen for what 7 mins? If you liked the movie fine sit here and talk about how you liked the movie once you begin to bash people who don't or say that their complaints aren't valid because your overly obsessed with the film that's when we join in.

^^ He wasn't really bashing the people who didn't like it. I have a question, what about the people who say the film was bad like it's fact? That gets under my skin.
