The movie centered around Gwen's character and I gotta say that her death adaptation was incredible well done and emotionally. Even more than ASM #121.

I agree with everything, but I don't know if it's fair to compare with TASM #121 (time period, audience, technology, etc.)

I must say though, it must feel amazing for Stan Lee and company to see the character they created come to life all these years later. I don't mean to derail from the discussion, but just think how they felt seeing Spider-Man onscreen for the first time.

At least the ending cheered me a little bit something that the comics didn't really after the tragedy.

I interpreted that the ending showed that no matter what happens in Peter's life he has a city to protect despite the personal issues. Without him,people would somehow lose that hope and Spider-Man do the contrary, he creates hope from those who need it. It's Peter duty and responsibility to cause that feeling, Gwen made him go back to suit up again. He carries her person and lesson for the rest of his life.

I get that, and I usually love those kind of endings when it comes to Spidey films. However, with the death of Gwen and the Sinister Six forming, ending on a darker note is the perfect prelude to a film which they're dedicating to villains that want to kill Spider-Man. Really, if you bluntly put it, they most likely want Spider-Man dead; so I would paint them as dark as I could if I were them.

It'll be hard for sure, but I'm positive they'll get our adrenaline pumping again when they start releasing details about the film

I don't know why people have a issues with that line. He was mad and despert and they are not going to have him drop the f bomb in a spider man movie so what should he have said then? Just watched asm2 for my 6th time tonight 3 times in theatures and now 3erd time at home and I think I may have to even move the movie form my 4th favorite cbm ever to 3erd the movie is almost flawless no idea what movie people saw! The only problems I have with the movie are goblins look witch is a very small problem and that ben wasn't talked about in the movie big problem and to much cut form the movie ever thing else is just about perfect. If the delected stuff had not been delected this movie would maybe be right there for my favorite CBM ever has right now my 1 and 2 favorite CBM are by far my favorite.

I've never had an issue with the "fraud" Spider-Man line. It's not as bad as some make it out to be. There are much worse offenses in this film.

yeah, just because he said it in a comic book way doesn't mean it's bad from an actor's standpoint. dane pulled it off very well. infact he pulled off every emoptions. htere was not even a single instance where i thought that he made a mistake. like gafrield he complaetely stole the show

Staining stuff in the laundry is something that happens to many people on a daily basis, and that it shouldn't cause suspicion.

I thought the "laundry sheriff" joke played out too long, as did the "we don't have a chimney" scene. I don't mind them including little "playful" moments between Peter and Aunt May but it could have been done in a more humble way on Peter's behalf and it just gets tiresome watching them scenes again when you're re-watching the film; especially when they don't really do much to move the story forward.

Dont know whether I should be in this thread, watched the movie again tonight, and I certainly love MOMENTS in the movie, but as a whole its such a frustrating movie. When it flies, it really flies. But when it sinks, it really sinks.

I will say the first 30 mins and the last 30 mins are some really good stuff.

I think Webbs at fault as well, Sony didnt make all the decisions here, I doubt they wanted Dr. Kafka to be like he was or Max Dillon, they just left that upto Webb and he did poor with both. No Uncle Ben was a director decision as well IMO as Webb wants to go for the parents angle when its just not interesting.

No I am not sure, but neither are you about Webb wanting him. But, ask yourself, why would Sony want him cut when they paid for him to come back?

TASM2 is Webb's fault as well as Sonys'.
