The classic. My local comic shop had this once, and they let me hold it. I felt like Harrison Ford in Indana jones and the Last Crusade when he's pciking up the cup Jesus drank out of.

This was one of the more odd stories form Tangled Web. Don't get me wrong ,the series was fun, but there were odd things. I loved the issue when al lthe super Villains meet at a bar.

Since the most important feature is reprinted just as it is in one of the Hobgoblin stories from the 80s, I didn't care to get this issue itself
After that piece of news, I wish a I had a copy in mint condition, imagine what a $1 million would do

Chance is awesome. He's like Deadpool in the sense that he's amoral, not immoral. He has nothing against Spidey, he just follows the pay-check. He would have made for a great limited series. I hope one day a writer with half a brain decides to bring him back. If Kaine and Deb Whitman could make successful returns in recent years, then I think there's hope for Chance! :word:

I never did learn what that damn important message (to YOU) from the editor was all about. :o

What the hell are these other stories? Man in the mummy case? There are martians among us??! I never even knew AF#15 had other stories in it. Wow.... reading Spidey for 20 years and still learning new things about his origin.

They're Twilight Zone-y kind of stories. Not bad actually. That's pretty much what AF was. And I think the important message was that they were cancelling the comic. It's been a long time since I looked at it. If I remember Stan's story, which changes a lot over the years, they stuck the Spidey story into a comic that they were cancelling anyway, so there was no risk involved in this "new" kind of hero.

What if 'Man in the Mummy Case' became the hit from AF's last issue instead of Spider-Man? Right now we would be reading 'The Amazing Man in the Mummy Case #658' or something... The stories write themselves. Maximum Mummyage. The Mummy Within. Brand New Case.
