Agreed.

People who say the whole clone-saga was crap obviously never read the Dezago/Wieringo 'Sensational' run. I would argue it's among the most neglected and underrated Spidey runs out there. They worked so fluidly together and brought a real sense of fun to the title (but they could be serious when needed also). The Looter and Swarm Spider-Ben stories were just fun classics that hold up even today. And the clone-phobes can rest assured there's no heavy clone mythology in them either. So pick up the back issues because they're excellent fun reads.

Their run post-clone saga is also fun and so was the more recent Peter David/Ringo 'Friendly' run, but Dezago/Ringo's early Spider-Ben stuff holds a special place in my heart.

As an aside, both Ringo and Dezago are (were in Ringo's case sadly) incredibly nice individuals. When I was a kid I contacted both through e-mail with dumb questions about years-old subplots and how to become a professional and their answers were quick, warm, detailed and thoughtful.
