You sure you don't mean Captain Marvel?

I've only heard this as a rumor, has this been officially stated by Marvel somewhere?

same here, i just heard the rumor, nothing really official

Marvel. Rick kinda "becomes" Marv. Well..not really. They trade places on command from our universe and the Microverse.
If you haven't read Peter David's Catain Marvel run, you should really check it out in TPB.

Did Marvel ever make a What If Rick Jones became the Hulk?
Imagine if Bruce had not seen Rick enter the bomb area.
Rick Jones stands there smiling. "explosion in ten". Banner looks out toward the field. Count down 5...
4... 3... 2... "what is that?" "Oh NOoo!! It's a.."

Later
"Where am I?" asked Rick.
"In a military hospital, my name is Bruce Banner" said Bruce
"What were you doing out there?" "YOu could have been killed!"

i think they did it

This reminds me of why they explained and showed reasons why Banner didn't die in the movie. If it had been Rick, he would of died in the explosion.
So any normal person would have died, but Banner didn't. And that surprised everybody.

So in the marvel world people don't get killed by the gamma rays but changed into monsters. That could be one reason. Though being a military weapon I thought it would kill, but maybe that just isn't what happens with the gamma bomb.

Rlue #1 Any Hulk fan can ask to add or change something in the (The Incredible Hulk #1) comic. As long as no other fan says No or I disagree, that suggestion will be kept in the movie version.

example
first poster: I don't like that Banner wears eyeglasses in the comic. So change that he does not wear eyeglasses in the movie.
secound poster: No. I like that he wears eyeglasses, keep eyeglasses.

So the movie Banner will keep the eyeglasses, because it is closer to the comics.
Thats it for eyeglasses, because one fan said no. All it takes is for one fan to say NO> No one can bring this change again.

Rule #2 No changing villains, because everybody has a favorite villain and I believe we won't agree on this.

Rule #3 If someone suggests a change that no one knows for sure and can't be proved by seeing the comic then we place a ? next to the change.

example
I want to change the Hulk's height to 10ft?
Nobody is sure what height the Hulk is in the comic. ?

Rule 4 The Director Mr X has final say if no two fans agree and neither is closer to the comic, or chooses to keep it like in the comic.

K The reason I didn't go for the Mayority Rules is because I wanted to make it equal for all. NO Mayority ganging on the minority Hulk fans.

interesting,..I like this game. Hey no one is playing so let's start.
ok, I guess the idea is that we have to ask for things that should be DIFFERENT from the comics. But you said no changing of the villains,..can we change that cause that's an important one. no reason why we can't really cause the origin could still be the same.

IF we can (on your say so) then let me suggest;
*change the Villain to either the Leader or abomination
*expand the dialogue and make it more current/relevant/ scientific
*contemporize the story by changing the whole soviet thing to maybe China or terrorism of something
*No need to go with the Gray THEN Green Hulk,..I say make him Green right away (unless during the first change he first turns gray then green right after)
*Replace the turns into the HULK at night thing (that concept didn't even work in the comics so why try it here).
*make it so that he turns into the Hulk when he is stressed
*make him 7' to 8' tall (in the original he was much shorter)

that's what I got for now,..I'll think about it some more.

Anyone disagree?

keep in mind not everyone turns into monsters when exposed to gamma rays. It's still a one in a million fluke that you would die. supposedly

Oh and while they are playing the music, they show the G-BOMB in the desert and the military base and bunkers.
Betty is in the bunker in the comic, but other than being Ross's daughter, I don't know why she is there.

So is 12 minutes too quick for the explosion or is it good for eveybody?

nope that sounds about right to me.

And being the General's daughter and the chief scientist's girl friend is good enough for me to have better there.

most people seem to turn into a version of Hulk everytime when they come into contact with Gamma Radiation than die ... in the earlier storys, did they show Gamma Radiation actually killing people?

just my opinion, but i think Hulk vs the Army can carry a origin movie. Show the Army going all out and that Hulk just keeps coming back at them. Then have Abomination in the 2nd and Leader at the end of Hulk 2 or in Hulk 3.

no not really. You're right, Gamma radiation always seemed to have an effect on people rather than kill them.
The thing is just that the Gamma bomb is a bomb, so it implied it was supposed to kill people (that was changed much later in the comics where they were saying the bomb was supposed to be non leathal).

but no indication of the non leathal was ever in the earlier comics. The other thing is that the others got affect Gamma (radiation), so the explanation could be the bomb kills (except in this one UNIQUE case), but the radiation changes.

but this is me speculating.

I agree with that,..In fact I counted on the army going up against the Hulk in this version. I just didn't mention it cause,..well it's in the comics.

1 question, how could a bomb be non lethal?

does that mean you want the gargoyle in there too?

good question, well wait,...maybe I'm wrong. maybe it was that it was supposed to not cause damage to buildings and such (*though I do remember it was non leathal),...
but you're right, that would make no sense.
oh well I'll look it up,..

Sava said:

nope , cause my first point was "change the villain" (even thoug Huge's condition was that we were not supposed to).

No No gargoyle for me,...

if the bomb was just meant to knock out all the electrical stuff in a town or city, wont they just use an EMP?

like I said, I don't remember the exact explanation for the PC version of the Gamma bomb which came much later on in the comics. but yes and EMP would be better.
