The Incredible Hulk Gallery: The Official Pictures Thread

Yeah me too. I've never understood why people don't get his veins.. look at any body builder with extremely low body fat, they're bursting with them too. It only makes sense for Hulk to be the same if not more.

Hulk isn't a bodybuilder though. He's a beast with raw strength. Have you seen a bodybuilder ever compete at truck pulling contests or other similar competitions? Those people have huge muscles, but don't have every single vein popping out.

Not all strongmen do, but some. And the main reason they don't is because they don't care how they look, so they don't have to keep body fat to a minimum.

It's a difference in origin. The last origin just had Hulk as a big version of Banner. All of his cells replicated to make Big Green. Here, Hulk's skin looks like it barely covers his muscles. It's not the same thing.

Yes. Their names were Lou Ferrigno and Franco Columbu.

It doesn't matter if Hulk is more ripped, he has super strength...because it is fantasy. Look at Peter Parker.

Tobey Maguire had a great physique for that first flick. Lean, cut, not big. Fit the character perfectly.

The impressive thing about Ferrigno is that he was so tall. 6'5" Bodybuilders are very rare. But, to add to the debate at hand, in that strongman competition, he wasn't exactly in bodybuilder shape. Lean, but nowwhere near the definition he'd have on stage.

I like how this Hulk is much more muscular and doesn't have the powerlifter look the '03 Hulk had.

He actually isn't more muscular, he's just a lot more defined. It's almost as though he has 0% body fat and wet tissue paper skin - they've included, seemingly, every strand of muscle fiber in the design design of this Hulk, and given his overall proportions a leaner, more drawn out aesthetic. Long, ropey arms; narrow, shredded midsection; downplayed lats and traps; etc. I don't care for it personally, but it's certainly a change of pace.

Can you show me a few pics that lead you to describing his "traps" as downplayed?

I feel sorry for some people, they are going to spend all of their attention nit-picking CGI while sane people will watch and judge the movie based on good characterzation, a good story and good acting.

I know!
All I'm concerned about is the flow of the story and its characters.
That's what truly makes a movie.
The special effects are merely the icing and candles of the whole birthday cake.

Of course, you can't make the cake without the flour, the milk, the butter...
Okay, you know what I mean.
Just icing and candles a metaphorical-movie cake does not make. :hehe:

I like this pic a lot, I really do. But there's something about Hulk that just looks off. It's his comic book proportions. They would look great on a comic page, but in real life it looks a bit strange.

I think is because some muscles are flexing but the body is doing a diferent movement

This Hulk certainly has the better design. While I enjoyed seeing a 15 ft Hulk, all Ang Lee was concerned with was making him as big as possible. The design wasn't too good because when I look at him, all I see is a green human, not a green monster.

Yeah, if I personally had some oversight on the matter, I would have capped Hulk's height at around ten feet or so. He looked great, and it worked fine in the film, but ideally, he's a little shorter.

Look up, this is the picture thread.
Yes, we've been throught that...

Now, care to show any that support your comment? All the ones I've seen go against it...:whatever:
It would be best if I could show you some good caps from the last flick, because I was really discussing this new Hulk in comparison to the old one. But, alas, I haven't any. But the body types are noticeably different, one example being in the trapezius/shoulder region.

I didn't mind him being King Kong sized but since he's the Hulk, him being at least 10-12 ft would've worked just fine. He's a green monster, not Godzilla or King Kong. Also, I really like the CGI for this movie, even though it looks cartoony. It looks awesome and that's all I care about.

Godzilla was a green monster too...

But yeah, the height he was in his first transfornation, or in the early portion of the army base sequence (before Talbot foamed him) would have been ideal.

Godzilla's not green, that's a common misconception.

Yeah, he should've stayed at that height. I also didn't like how Ang felt that the Hulk's facial features needed to change for each transformation. Ang was such a dumbass.

I hate even a 10 ft Hulk. Its impossible for anyone to beat him if hes to big. Just picture Doc Samson next to him now, no match. Iron Man next him no match, years ago at least these guys had a chance until the Hulks rage took over. Its his rage that made him the strongest not his size. He always beat the bigger guy because of his rage not size.

Just because he gets bigger doesn't mean he becomes completely invincible. Still, 9 or 10 ft is the perfect height. I don't really like him being 7 ft tall now adays because of how many people in the world are either that height or close to that height.
