EB what do you mean the toys were nearly exposed?
EB what do you mean the toys were nearly exposed?
A security Consultant from ToyBiz/Marvel was there and stopped any leak from the movie stuff.I think what he means is that someone almost leaked the pics of the toys from China but was then fortunatley for Marvel, stopped.
Now I respect your opinion and I am sorry that you seem to think that I "bring nothing to the conversation", looking back at some of our previous posts it seemed like you and I were on the same page and that we had very good conversations which I enjoyed, but I guess you didn't.
Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't sound ANYTHING like Heath Ledger, whose voice is much deeper. If it is the case that TDK is having someone do a voiceover for the Joker, I have to think that's going to hurt the movie. I, for one, hate the idea. I'm watching it thinking of the Heath Ledger I know & love, but then hearing some other idiot's voice coming out of his mouth. What a completely stupid idea if this is, in fact, what they're doing.
It's called acting. Ledger changed his voice.
Good actors change their voices. Christian Bale has never used the same voice for any two characters. Anthony Hopkins changed his voice for Hannibal Lecter. It's just what good actors do with characters like this. The performance is entirely Ledger.
I can buy that to a point, but I won't believe it until I see something official. I mean, yeah, people - human beings - can cadence/project/summon a certain range of octaves, but we all have our limits, you know? This is partly what made Elvis the stud that he was - because he had the rare, almost uncanny, ability to hit high highs and low lows. Wikipedia says his voice covered 2 octaves and a third. That is like, freaking ridiculous. Not that what Heath is doing with the Joker is impossible, but it just sounds out of his range. In the movies I've seen of him, he's never hit any highs - he is a distinct tenor or maybe even a bass. So show me something official, because right now I'm not buying it.
There have been multiple interviews of Heath, both in print and video, in which he discusses his preparation for the character and how he spent six weeks in a hotel room "coming up with a voice and movement"
So unless Heath is lying to every interviewer he's seen the past few months, that's definitely him.
Even the laugh? I mean, it's fairly high pitched. Guess I've gotta hear more of his lines in the context of full-blown dialogue, because it's kind of hard to tell from the snippets in the trailer. But I guess your info suffices/sounds legitimate enough. And if it really is him, I'm completely floored.
Yeah he said he really worked on trying to get a right "voice" for the character. He did lock himself in a hotel room for six weeks, so I guess with that much work one could accomplish a lot.

Yes, TDK invades The Hulk threads too. This is significant in order to make predictions on how things will go, this summer.
There is no time for Hulk... I surrender...![]()

Wow, it's amazing to see that people are nitpicking Ledger's peformance as the Joker in a thread about the Incredible Hulk film. Like the cast says, we're all going to be blown away by his performance as the Joker and I personally can't wait. He looks and sounds amazing and he's everything TRUE Joker fans have been waiting for...
I think there is no hype for the film right now because they are currently in the means of production and there's no real way to hype the film without people thinking "Pfft...Hulk already sucked..why are they doing another one?"
Please. You'd love it if that were true, I'm sure. Hulk still has a chance to blow away TDK, but if it doesn't do as well, it won't be because of any absence of hype. And they officially wrapped filming on the 14th, per AD's e-mail exchange with the director. Yes, I know Hulk had his own television show that was successful and I've heard the movie is going to have a similar tone and feel to it but I think Marvel is just a little unsure how to promote it. There isn't as much hype because I think the general public just isn't ready for another Hulk film right now. Come next Spring..it may very well be a different story.
The fact is, unless you work for Marvel and have a clue whatsoever as to what they're actually doing, you're talking out of your rear like anyone else who banks on "I think" statements as you do.
