People have been acting like the business of making comic book stuff has been on the verge of collapse since TDK came out in 2008. And yet here we are.

It'll end when it ends.

And it only ends when I say so.

The quality has been pretty good for the majority of the popular CBM, so I don't see it going away anytime soon.

Do you guys think a Howard The Duck reboot, tied in to the MCU would be profitable? Cause I have a few potential investors who are looking to get in on the ground floor of some ill s***.

I actually liked the Howard The Duck movie when I was a kid. It is strange watching it now and realizing how weird the film was. Also Howard The Duck is insanely unsustainable for kids but like the Calvin Harris song goes it was acceptable in the eighties.

I kind of thought when we hit the 2010s, we'd start seeing a decline, but it seems that the superhero genre has more staying power than a fad. I think it's going to be a Pokemon situation at some point. It may come down from being huge, but it's always going to be fairly big.

But the thing is, comic books encompasses all kinds of genres. I don't think it'll ever die down.

It does, kind of, but when people see superhero movies and shows, they don't think, "Hey, it's a horror show with superheroes", they think, "Hey, a new superhero show". I do think it'll die down int he sense that we won't see it as frequently as we do now, but I do think it has the potential to be a consistent thing now that technology is good enough to emulate superheroes, even on the small screen.

Exactly.

I definitely think some franchises might start slipping, but overall, I think the genre is here for a long long time.

The X-Men franchise dipped around X3 and Origins but seems to have returned to form over the last couple of movies.

Spider-Man still makes money.

Switching gears, Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery for Blu-ray just got announced. Both seasons, and the prequel film, along with an hour+ of footage from said film that was cut and never seen before.

I've seen a handful of comic book movies that I disliked and some I absolutely hated. However, at the end of the day the studio still got my $11.50 and contributed towards the millions the movie'll make.

I think by the third movie in a popular franchise most people are hyped up to watch any thing they put out.

Spidey 3 and X3 are not considered the best films of those franchises but they still grossed more than the two films which proceeded them.

I personally didn't like Iron Man 3 myself. I don't get upset over people liking films I don't like.

I hate just about everything regarding Iron Man 3.

All these comic movies will be profitable but you have to see it to dislike it.

I feel like IM3 was more or less just a cash grab. RDJ needed to knock out another MCU film for his contract, Iron Man is arguably the most famous comic book hero for Marvel as far as the general public, so it was a no brainer to churn out another movie, quality be dammed.
