The first movie lost me when Bumblebee pissed on a guy. And everything involving John Turturro, who really should know better. I have no problem with pure action movies, but when you start shooting for comedy and your comedy just straight-up sucks, I tend to tune out pretty quickly.

Yeah, I honestly wonder how much more I'd enjoy Michael Bay's works if he didn't always force his brand of comedy into his movies. The guy is like a ****ing thirteen year old.

I remember when Pain and Gain was marketed as an all-out comedy. Effin' misleading marketing. Yeah, there were some funny bits, but it was dramatic as hell.

If Beast Wars didn't exist, I'd agree. The G1 cartoon was dumb as hell and we all only enjoyed it because we were kids who didn't know any better. But Beast Wars raised the bar for Transformers. It spoiled me. When Bayformers came along, 'splojunzz and mildly racist humor just wouldn't cut it for me anymore.

Dinobot, with his sweet ass Shakespearian monologues. Tasty.

Yeah. Halfway through the movie, I was getting kinda bummed out. Come to find out, a lot of that stuff actually happened :(

I have no such belief about Transformers being high literature, but I still don't think that means you have to excuse movies that are horrible. I liked the first movie alright, but the second was easily one of the worst top 5 movies I've ever seen. Got nothing to do with me thinking Transformers is high brow, just seeing that junk is junk

I get what your saying but I don't go I to these movies expecting anything more than what we got in the first. Bay had a particular idea for this series and he has stuck too it, and it's damn fun. I agree that the second was bad but honestly is a transformers movie ever gonna be done right and be what we consider good? I just take what we can get here with this franchise.

Beast Wars is amazing. I wish this series had that kind of seriousness, it doesn't. I watched that show too though, and I'm willing to sit back and "shut my brain off" for a minute or two.

I never liked Beast Wars. The horrible CGI took me out of it.

I thought it was a great film, but yeah, towards the end I just was in shock and was just shaking my head at all the crap these dudes did.

Just got back from seeing the new Transformers... The whole "It's so bad, it's good" lens I was looking through wore off at about 60 minutes in. You do get a lot of laughs from just thinking about Boston-mouthed Wahlberg as a Texas born robotics engineer, named Cade Yeager.

It feels like the longest damn movie in the entire world though. Like, just bloated.
Negative 83 out of 5 Stars.

^Yeah, I just kept waiting for Grimlock and after 2 hours 15 minutes...I got him :(

Yeah, I'm gonna skip the new Transformers movie...Bay isn't gonna touch my money this time. Hopefully he can do another Pain & Gain type movie after this.

I made my lady pay. I refused to contribute money to these films. The film would be fun to mock with a group of friends and a few drinks for an hour, maybe. After that you just want everything to be over. This movie, Michael Bay's career, your life, etc.

I paid for the first one. I've pretty much wasted 4 free tickets to see that 2nd Transformers movie in IMAX...and I got someone to pay for me for the 3rd movie. This time, I'm gonna wait till it shows up online...since I watch everything. :csad:

Even... A Haunted House 2!

If you're a TF fan you'll probably like it. Outside of Beast Wars, I don't really care about the franchise.

I liked TF when I was a small kid. I grew up on the old cartoon, and played with all the toys....and that was it. The franchise never really stuck with me. I liked the first movie. The 2nd and 3rd were kinda bad. I actually don't even remember the 3rd(I may have been drunk :hmm ).

But I'm still gonna check it out. I'll wait another week or so for the crowds to die down, though.

My lady and I went last night, there were maybe 20 people in the theater. 7 or so were children. Those kids would have bugged the hell out of me were I invested in the movie at all.

There were two neck-beards who came in right as the movie started and sat in the row behind my girlfriend and I... About 30 minutes in to the movie when Wahlberg was tinkering around with Optimus, the neck-beards stood up and began to walk out. I immediately thought "Wow, this movie is bad, but not enough for me to walk out... Not yet anyway." But they weren't walking out... They went to sit in like, the 4th row. I'll never understand why some people enjoy sitting that close to the screen.

Holy s**t. Reading the FAQ makes this movie make even less sense than I imagined it to make.

I usually sit in the middle (closer to the screen) of the theater, not too far back or too close. The theater I go to has a screen that is big and roomy.
