If you mean the shy, sympathetic Otto, he's not Doc Ock yet. He becomes Ock due to a sabotaged experiment in episode 8, Reaction. He'll be that tentacled badass we all know and love.
Very true, and I really can't wait.

Wasn't Otto also kinda timid as a kid? I recall reading such from vol. 1 of Spider-Man Unlimited 3, I think. Maybe they wanted to put that in the comics. I actually find his being timid a nice contrast as to what he'll later become.

This is the best episode so far, and its way ahead of all the others in this series. I loved the dance backstory and crime backstory. I'm glad they aren't scared to mention ages.

I had a couple of issues with this ep.

There were also some misgivings about the webbing. It was too weak to catch Rhino in midair and at the sPorting goods store he fully retracted it into his wrist.

Rhino wasn't trying to be caught. He was going straight for the ground and he has enough strength to tear through Spider-Man's web easily, which is what happened.

Next episode is going to be great. I so was not expecting to see Tombstone today, but it was awesome. He was able to own Spidey without really disgracing him.

Without disgracing him? I'd call ***** slapping him, blocking a punch, hitting him twice, and putting a foot on his chest disgracing him.

this episode had a few crappy things in it i thought.

- Tombstone who is much weaker than spidey, still owns him. Especially after Spidey is able to take hits from Rhino, but he gets owned by Tombstone

Ain't that the truth.

okay did anyone else hate that Tombstone could beat spidey up like that? Tombstone is both slower and weaker than Spider-man but he owned him. Spidey had just beaten the Rhino for crying out loud and then this puss lays him out like he's nothing

Spider-Man is listed as a Level 6 in Strength, and Tombstone as a Level 4. Not to mention Spider-Man's greater agility, speed and Spider-sense. Regardless of experience, there's no way in hell Tombstone should've pulled one over on Spider-Man. I know Spider-Man is still growing, so let's say he's at Level 4 or 5 right now, Tombstone still shouldn't have been able to handle him like that.

well i just looked Tombstone up, and apparently he's gained a powerboost and is actually now stronger than Spidey, so my bad i was wrong. He used to be weaker than back in the day because i remember wanting to find out about that way back when. I like him better stronger than, since it actually now makes sense that he could stand up to Spidye

Where the hell did you see this? That's not true at all.

I don't know much about Tombstone... when he fights spidey one on one there he pretty much kicked spidey's ass easily... does this always happen in the comics?? I didn't know Tombstone was faster and a better fighter than spidey

Nope, never.

Originally, he was a normal human but he was really built (he was like 7'6" I think). He was really strong, but not super-human. Recently, he's been given powers (super strength, speed, agility, etc.). I don't know if the Tombstone we saw in the show was superpowered or not.

7'6'' my ass. He's listed at 6'5''. When he had his accident.....his skin turning from dark to pale......like he is on the show.....was when he got his super powers, which are not close to Spider-Man's.

EDIT: The Tombstone we saw on the show is obviously super powered, to the point where they went out of their way to make Spider-Man look weak. A regular human could not have his way with Spider-Man like that.

Tombstone was born albino. He never had "dark skin".

Yes, he was and he got picked on alot.

The 90s cartoon had him as a normal guy who fell into a vat of chemicals that "bleached" him, gave him superpowers and made it so that he no longer needed to breath.

Which was stupid. Sorry. The Joker called, he wants his origin back.

Not in the comics though, which is what were referring to

When I said that, I meant Tombstone didn't like just get up and punch Spidey out. Here they showed that he just plain out fought him.

Yea but it was nothing like the cartoon. He set up a trap for Spidey and accidently went into a room with some gas.

Well he was in a Chemical Factory accident that gave him powers in the comics too, except there he fell into a chamber pumped with some weird gas stuff.

So that's also a Joker origin knock-off. Gas Chamber/Chemical Vat, it makes little difference.

Not really, the Chemical Vat created the Joker. Tombstone was already Tombstone, he just a upgrade.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I just heard he'd gotten his powers from an accident but didn't know all the details.

Hearing MJ say the "jackpot" line when she first appeared on screen pretty much made the entire episode.

Yea so glad they did the classic intro for her and her classic line it was pretty much a match of the comics panel. Also the VA for MJ delievered the line great and cant wait to hear more from her. How many takes you think it took her to get it just right lol.

Agreed, She probably got it right on the first try, lol. :woot:

I just saw the episode...and it's the best so far.
as a fan of Rhino, and a fan of destruction and noise...that was candy for the eyes. and Tombstone is a total badass. he totaly pwned Spidey. loved the episode. it'll be hard to top that for me.
and MJ didn't seem really excited....but she was pretty.

PS: I liked how Ock explained the reason he chose a Rhino suit for O'hirn.

As many as they needed.

I think this show and the movies are great.

I loved Spiderman 3. Yeah, I said it.

Word

Hey man I love all three movie IMO I think SPIDER-MAN is the best superhero movie trilogy . Despite the flaws in movie 3, I still found it to be fun & very entertaining . I can't wait for movie 4 :spidey:

I was so sweet yet at the same time quite seductive . Vanessa Marshall is prefect as Mary Jane Watson .

Two points.

does anyone wish mj was wearing a coat over her right arm when she delivered the line?

and

For those of you who don't like the fact that spidey was pwn by tombstone, personally i think it's great. Spidey should get pwned on a regular basis, he should always be the underdog in a confrontation. The comics have just jacked up his powers way too much so he gets to fight people like the hulk for publicity.

let tombstone kick his ass, it makes him more formidable. Also Let's keep him as the big man. No need to be contraversial but as a black dude, it's very comforting to see a black character take up a large role and in this cartoon, you don't get much larger than the big man.

Even though he's bad, you don't usually get that many intelligent calculating minorities on a show, especially villains (always lower level folk). This show does actually do a lot. I mean it is now going to have FIVE regular black characters showing up in it,

prowler
gloria
robbie
tombstone
that large jock guy

that's practically unheard of, let to mention an asian reporter and also a latin american liz alen.

let's enjoy that the love is being spread my milky toned chums...
