I bet James Franco had a lot more fun in this movie now that he gets to do some really cool stuff like flying around throwing pumkin bombs. BTW, does anyone have an idea what the sparks/fire on his left arm/side are supposed to be from in this pic?

Oh, and I still wish there were little jack-o-lantern faces on the bombs, or maybe even see their faces in the explosion some how (y'know, like smiley-face fireworks).

Even though Harry isn't called the Hobgoblin,he basically is.He is a guy who found the Goblin's lair,and updated the Goblin equipment.

He requested more action, and the script seems to have him play a critical role in the construction site battle's climax. So I'd have to agree.

It's just lighting from the apartments they're passing by in the alley. A nice touch. From the leaked trailer's "pic of Harry floating" with "CGI Peter" in July we've now gone to a photorealistic pic of Harry as if he were really flying down the alley. Additional proof of the detail being put into this film, if you didn't have some already.

I think it's creative. Actually, someone should now make a comic hero/villain who REALLY IS named The Night Surfer. I'd read that!

But, "The New Goblin" fits better for Harry anyways, and I LOVE his costume!

Likie his costume, but not the "mask," I say they should have just dorpped the mask as itwould have saved moeny in design and SFX for it coming on and off when he only is going to wear it twice and both times he'll be dealing with people who already know who he is (first Peter and next Peter, MJ and Venom who will have Pete's memories).

Oh well.

Harry as Goblin should technically be stronger, faster, and more agile than the first Goblin. In Spider-Man 1, the gas in the Conversion chamber is vented almost instantly. In the recent pictures, we see Harry walking out of a gas saturated chamber. This infers that he inhales more of the gas than his father. So, with more of the performance enhancer, harry's performance should be, well, enhanced.

The only thing I don't like is the way the mask retracts in the trailer. It's kinda unrealistic, but the mask and the costume are really cool. The new goblin looks cool.

that is a good theory. maybe harry took more than one serum gas to enhance his strength even more.

You know, I had a thought today that might bring some clarity to Harry's gear for the new one.

First off, even Spider-man had a crap costume to start with. Sure, Harry's rich.. but it's quite possible he's not planning on sticking with this kind of life, he just wants his revenge.. so he goes with the bare-minimum flash-free suit that's simply equipped with the tools he'll need. I mean, come on. Everyone looks good in black. It's quite slimming.

Then, there's the board. What're they calling it, the "sky stick"? Regardless.. 'a rose by an other name...'
Don't doubt this. I think this board is going to be pretty slick. Remember how when everyone saw the pics for Batman Begins, and instantly hated the look of the new Batmobile/the Tumbler? Then, remember seeing the film and how they used it?

I give them points for trying something new, and if Raimi's as smart as he seems to be so far, I think he'll do some pretty wicked stuff with the board.

Have faith, gentlemen. This film is gonna rock your socks.
