****ing identity politics have to be injected into EVERYTHING apparently...
Legit had an ex who basically saw herself as Harley irl. Only after dating me tho, of course...It always bugged me how fans would idolize Joker and Harley Quinn when they're both in fact horrible people.
BecauseSome people thought Thanos and Killmonger were right and for some reason none of these guys said anything about it.
Twitter is already going insane with this one. They say things like "Incel fantasy", and some accuse Phillips of being a conservative and a lot of crazier ****. Literally they only hate the movie for the only reason Joker acts like a terrible person in the script and does a lot of bad ****. I'm not joking.
The worst is that some of the guys that say those kind of things are supposed "film experts" that somehow aren't expert enough to understand protagonist doesn't mean hero. I mean, have they ever watched A Clockwork Orange, American Psycho, or, idk, any classic film?
Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there...
Yeah but I'm still worried as to how the general audience's perception/interest in this will be. Already seeing a lot of Facebook commenters coming in with the "gonna be ****, don't waste your money" , "pretentious Oscar bait" etc etc type of rhetoric
I moreso meant as in I'm worried at how the movie will do if not enough people actually see it, but that is also a fair point. However, I'm not worried in liking something the general public doesn't, either. I just want the movie to do well.Relax, watch it and enjoy it for yourself, not the others. **** it if the general audience dont like the movie.
Think like Todd Phillips:
-Dont make a movie to please everyone, cause at the end you please no one.
