Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

The worst is that they're so stupid they can't see the movie kinda agrees with them in some things. The Joker is the bad guy here. Of course, there will always be some that think he's the hero. But that happens with almost EVERY villain.
Some people thought Thanos and Killmonger were right and for some reason none of these guys said anything about it.

But how dare they make the Joker, one of the most evil and disgusting villains of comics, a terrible and disgusting person?! Incel fantasy!

My expectations for this film are still low, in case my excitement comes tumbling down when finally seeing it.

Twitter is already going insane with this one. They say things like "Incel fantasy", and some accuse Phillips of being a conservative and a lot of crazier ****. Literally they only hate the movie for the only reason Joker acts like a terrible person in the script and does a lot of bad ****. I'm not joking.

The worst is that some of the guys that say those kind of things are supposed "film experts" that somehow aren't expert enough to understand protagonist doesn't mean hero. I mean, have they ever watched A Clockwork Orange, American Psycho, or, idk, any classic film?

Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there...

Again, who cares what a small group of angry Twitter users say? The majority both on various forums and social media outlets, are excited for this film. Let's not put so much energy into discourse that's not worth having.

Yeah but I'm still worried as to how the general audience's perception/interest in this will be. Already seeing a lot of Facebook commenters coming in with the "gonna be ****, don't waste your money" , "pretentious Oscar bait" etc etc type of rhetoric

Relax, watch it and enjoy it for yourself, not the others. **** it if the general audience dont like the movie.

Think like Todd Phillips:

-Dont make a movie to please everyone, cause at the end you please no one.

I moreso meant as in I'm worried at how the movie will do if not enough people actually see it, but that is also a fair point. However, I'm not worried in liking something the general public doesn't, either. I just want the movie to do well.

I get your point.

Dont worry I’m sure it will get the attention it deserves!

The first trailer released early in the morning if I recall correctly.
