Interesting as like a couple weeks ago a rumor concerning Todd Phillips approaching the head of DC with a whole catalog of characters was shot down by I believe Todd Phillips himself and now this...

I am pretty sure he said something about this a few months ago so I am not sure this counts as news. The rumor about the Joker sequel was hot air...

He actually said he had 3 directors in mind and he thinks big, in the Toronto or Venice film festival in Sept.

I am sure there are some kind of discussions about these at WB and THR just heard it from someone but they have no idea about exact details, and TP is definitely discussing sequels with WB, he didn’t even deny it, he admitted there were some preliminary type talks and denied the contract, script and offer parts.

Having preliminary talks and what was reported are not the same thing. THR made it sound like they were close to a deal and got caught being full of it. If there was any truth to their report it would have been announced (or leaked) by now. I dont doubt WB and him have done the "look for ideas in case we want to do this" kind of meeting but it hasnt gone past that.

(that doesnt mean btw it wont happen...I still say odds are a sequel comes)

A Joker/Kevin crossover with climax at the WB meeting room would be a dream come true lol, Joker finds out about the scandal and bonuses and makes himself a hero

Golden Globes noms are tomorrow, right? Interesting that despite so many best picture or best adapted screenplay noms Phillips didn't secure many Best Director. Looks like that one won't happen for some reason.

Will cross Rogue One next week and should add another 10M WW before Oscar noms. Then expansion should move it past Toy Story 3 and one of those Pirates movies at least.
