have a feeling that they might go for Andrew Garfield. He's worked with Marty before and he's got the right face and body type for it.

I could see it. If you can get past the spider-man stuff of course.

I'll cry. His Spidey was just terrible. One of the worst superhero performances ever

He's got the right face and body and I was fine with his Spidey, but he'd have to make a big jump to get to the level required for Joker. Possible of course.

Yes it is.

So are the guys in here gonna claim they've never found a female villain hot before?

Because Harley Quinn has done crap just as bad as the Joker and yet I see dudes constantly talking about how hot they find her or how they like a little crazy in their women.

Here are some other names I've seen being thrown about for the role (by fans and media):

Dane DeHaan
Paul Dano
Caleb Landry Jones
Miles Teller
George MacKay
Will Poulter
Joseph Gilgun
Adam Driver
Bill Skarsgard
Evan Peters
Jake Gyllenhaal

I think the idea is that a crazy woman is less inhibited, so more likely to engage in coitus with you. Sort of like how bimbos are sexy
because they are so stupid you can trick them into having coitus with you. Where as a crazy man might just rape you.

Jonah Hill.

Will Poulter would be absolutely delightful in the role.

Maybe
Paul Dano
More of a Scarecrow type
Caleb Landry Jones

Miles Teller
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA no
George MacKay
(insert " who ?" Gif again )
Will Poulter
This one I can actually get behind.
Joseph Gilgun
This I would love, but people would have to get past the fact that he's already Cassidy on Preacher.
Adam Driver
His acting is... Okay, but nothing about him screams "Joker " to me.
Bill Skarsgard
See, I knew that his role as an evil clown would build hype for him to be cast in another famous evil clown role... I'm hoping his Pennywise is good. Once that's known for sure, I can decide if I'd want him for Joker.
Evan Peters
PLEASE no
Jake Gyllenhaal

I'd totally be down for this. Probably a pipe dream tho

The Joker/Harley dynamic is pretty much the guy that berates and hits his girlfriend yet she continues to ask, "thank you sir, may I have another?" It's not subtle, but hey.

And theres a number of females in this world who are totally into that.

Caleb Landry Jones was the brother in "Get Out", Banshee in X-Men, and is in the new Twin Peaks. He has a good look for The Joker, but I would like to see more of his acting to really decide.

George MacKay was the eldest son in "Captain Fantastic" (the Viggo Mortensen movie). He was really good. But, again, I would have to see more.

These guys could be good if they are going with "unknowns" or up and comers who have been in some good movies. I don't think they should be dismissed just because they're not big names yet.

Caleb, Will and Evan are pretty ideal for a young Joker.

I think Jake would be friggen phenomenal and a hell of a lot better choice than DiCaprio if they're going older.

Personally, I'd cast Giovanni Ribisi but only if The Joker was an R Rated movie. In my head he'd play the perfect charmingly deranged Joker that I want to see.

Watch a movie called Antiviral.

So the Brokeback Mountain guys can both be Joker?!

If thats how you choose to see it.
I just see 2 great actors who have the right energy and charisma. Heath Brought something more with his performance. I think Jake could too without getting lost and with more ease.
I think his performance in Nightcrawler is like a glimpse of the potential brilliance he could bring to a role like The Joker.

The thing I think people forget about Heath's performance is that it was sooo great because it was sooo unlike him. He was nearly unrecognizable through his performance. It doesn't matter if you liked his Joker or not, it was the performance itself that was amazing.

Oh it would be an awesome way to bring them together again. :oldrazz:

I suppose so.

Nothing wrong with an unknown, I was just unaware of their previous work.

Great article. I'm very much against the idea of demystification of the Joker, not to mention, I don't get the purpose of that. Outside financial.
