Look, I would love nothing more than for WB to put out a shared cinematic universe as cohesive and consistent as Marvel has. I would. But Man of Steel functions as a stand-alone film, BvS was a disaster, Suicide Squad was a disaster, Wonder Woman functions as a stand-alone film, and Justice League (as far as these old eyes can tell) looks like it's going to be a disaster.
At this point, I'm more excited for the stand-alone/spinoff films like Justice League Dark and Batgirl than I am for Justice League. That's just the point I'm at now. I'm so soured on the shared universe aspect of the DCEU that I frankly wouldn't care if they used Flashpoint to nix the whole thing. I mean that Justice League trailer was hot garbage. I am so ready to move past this chapter.
I'm not entitled to anything. It's a shame the DCEU hasn't shaped up the way I would have liked it to, but I'm not going to sit here and whine and demand that WB put other potentially cool ideas on hold just so they can focus on fixing this ****.
I'm a DC fan, so I'd like to see DC properties adapted. Whether it be The Flash, Batgirl, Justice League Dark, Red Son, or The Joker. If we continue to see the same sort of passion that was put behind WW, I'll happily take spinoffs and Elseworlds tales.
