The Dark Knight Rises The Juno Temple thread

Assuming she is cast, Juno Temple will be the "Anthony Michael Hall" of TDKR.

That's a fair assumption. I was going to say her role would probably be bigger than Gamble's part in TDK but smaller than Maroni's.

Holly Robinson ftw. :D
Nolan, please make my perfect Batman Movie!!

If her role is significant, she'll more than likely be Holly Robinson.

It's just as likely (if not more so) that she'll be a minor character we waste minutes of our lives wondering about.

Remember in TDK, there is scene where Joker uses a bazooka

As we all know, this is a weapon often used by Harley Quinn.

Just throwing out there :-)

I'm calling it, she's playing Barbara Gordon, Jim's niece.

She'll have a whopping two to three scenes like "Thomas Schiff, the paranoid schizo" in TDK

holly or new character.this doesnt require much speculation.

I like how on the news page the members of this site automatically assume she's playing a **** of some kind. Oh, wait, I don't like that. I HATE IT! WHY THE HELL AM I STILL HERE? :cmad:

Its saying she's playing Holly on other sites, but has it been confirmed?

I imagine she'll have a similar roll to the young boy from Begins(who was clearly Robin btw :woot:). The difference being that she'll meet Catwoman as opposed to Batman.

Holly seems like a good guess.

But I'm starting to worry that they might be cramming too many characters into this movie.

My ONE complaint about The Dark Knight was that, although it still kept the focus on Batman, it was almost a "team" movie, meaning that it was almost a film that was not really about Batman but about Batman, Harvey and the Joker. So far, the only Batman film that we've EVER had that felt like it was all about Batman was Batman Begins. I'm hoping that TDKR is a return to the story centering completely around Batman, but I'm worried that it won't be.

I don't see how it's so unreasonable to look at TDK and take note of the regular men in the opening scene who dressed like Batman because they thought they could do his job too - which was an important part of the story. Now take a look at this movie, assume we have a "street-smart Gotham girl" who thinks she can do the same thing by also dressing up like Batman... a Bat...Girl. It doesn't have to be some fancy ridiculous Schumacher thing like you all believe would happen. It's just a girl doing the same thing the False-Batmen did in the previous movie, only she's a slightly more developed character, who thinks she can use her brains while in costume to take down Catwoman herself.

Add to the fact that she's Gordon's niece, or Gordon's Whatever, and you make it a personal mission for her, since she knows that Batman and Gordon have a relationship. Perhaps she resents Batman. Or perhaps she wants to make Gordon proud. Batman would be extremely unapproving of her, just like he was with the False-Batmen. It's not like she would be hanging out in the Batcave with Bruce, making wise-cracks and doing backflips. She would be completely separate from Batman, in no way affiliated with him, doing her own thing as a vigilante. In the end, she realizes that there's only one Batman, and she stops.

I think she will be either Barbara Gordon or an original character. Based on the last films, I dont think Nolan would bother adding a minor comicbook character.

I don't think we'll ever have something like BB again where it'll be all about Batman/Bruce. Given all the new characters being introduced in TDKR, it'll most likely follow TDK's ensemble style story telling where while it'll all return to Batman in the end, we will also see big story arcs revolving around the other characters (specially Catwoman).
