The electric guitar riffs from the Come Together cover played in your mind as soon as you saw this.

Followed swiftly by "Hello darkness my old friend" when I realize I STILL haven't watched the real Justice League....

You knos what I dont understand? I was just reading a twitter thread from CBR about releasing the Snyder Cut a few days ago and the thread had several people all like "NO, do not release this, WB! Zack is horrible blah blah blah." If you dont like Zack and his work, thats totally cool, but what harm does it do to have an alternative and potentially better cut of the movie out there, and btw, youre not obligated to buy the thing (but lets be honest, even the haters will check the movie out from pure curiousity. ) So i dont understand why people would be against it, what harm would it do anyone?

Or a worse version for that matter. If they believe he's the worst, and the film most be "unwatchable," then why do they care? It's not like releasing it re-writes history. If anything it would only be further evidence of their point.

Now if they're genuinely afraid it might be better? I don't know. I don't see why that should be a concern unless they are so fragile that an objectively better version would destroy their ego.
Are they worried WB will suddenly see the error of their ways, and let Snyder come back and have total creative control over the entire DCEU?

I do hope that for all of our future DCEU films (not talking about Suicide Squad or any Joker solo films), that they really show the heroes actually getting some serious wounds inflicted on them and that they stop coming out of their final battle so clean cut.

I personally didn't like the fact that no one in the League came out of their battles looking like they've just been through hell. Maybe a few scratches but no actual sweat, bruises, or blood present.

They had to allocate most of their budget to the revolutionary (and flawless) mustache removal technology.

MOS had the same issues with that as well, it's not exactly new.

To be fair, Superman didn't come out of BVS looking completely unhurt.

He only had one hole in his chest, which resulted in his death, but he never received any scars, bruises, or bled during moat of his fight against Doomsday.

Diana has some scars in the ww84 footage

did bruce even make supes bleed?

i think he got 1 good bloody punch before punching doesn't work anymore in BvS

He had a cut on his face from Batman :o

Batman cuts a slash across Supermans face, making him bleed as promised.

Batman gets stabbed in the shoulder in the Warehouse fight.

I love that death by gaping chest would can be prefaced with "only".

Superman was not portrayed as completely invulnerable in the film, despite whatever injuries or lack thereof suffered at the hands of Doomsday.

Superman is vulnerable to kryptonite. Wonder Woman is vulnerable to magic.

Man, Batman slashing Superman's face was hard for me to watch the first time.

I think a lot of it can be chalked up to the Kryptonian and Amazonian physiology that has them healing from wounds, shortly after receiving them. Diana got shot during the fight on the beach but when they removed her bandage right after, the wound was gone already. In Skwad they had cuts, bruises and one thing I don't think we've ever seen before in these types of movies: smeared and messed up make up.

I actually would be fine with being released just so we could put all that to bed. But my stance has been that I think it's unlikely, and Robles actually sorta reiterated my main reason for this recently with the Jay Olivia news: I don't see them wanting to dredge that up in light of everything that's happened.

Even in the recent EW interview with Toby Emmerich, there was a very obvious sense that WB wants to move past this and just start putting out movies they think are gonna be better liked (see the tactful admission with his comments about how he thinks Batman v. Superman and the others could be seen better by future generations, but that Aquaman and the other upcoming flicks better fit the "zeitgeist"). The studio is obviously not happy how things went down, and they probably don't want to remind people of it while they're trying to win back audiences with the new films.

That is why personally, I think releasing it to DC's new streaming service would be a nice compromise. Let the fans who want to see it do so, but not in a way that draws huge amounts of attention to it while they're trying to promote the new generation of DCEU flicks.

Sigh...

It's like Ratner fans demanding an X3 alternate cut right before First Class comes out

Not exactly the same scenario, but it's not happening until the DC brand is stable and can take controversies again.

I would love to see Zack's cut, but it won't happen for a long time. Realistically an extended cut might come out sooner and I might get that, I've bought all the DCEU blu rays (I don't buy these things usually) and I skipped JL.

I like the idea another poster came up with. DC should use the Snyder cut as one of the main draws of their DC Universe streaming service. Its perfect. It wont draw a ton of publicity and yet its sure to lure in tons of subscribers and lets face it theyre gonna need something big to draw ppl in. I dont know if Titans and Young Justice season 3'll be enough.

And then if it does well on there they can release it on blu ray. Perfect middle ground.

Zack should just resemble the cut and show it at his house, and fans can come over and watch it like the world cup =P

On Heroic Gateway's Instagram page they posted a deleted scene of Cyborg that I don't remember seeing of him on a rooftop in Gotham learning to fly. The scene is a mix of finished and unfinished footage but they added sound effects and music and its a REALLY cool clip. I'll happily take the unfinished cut as is over nothign.

I think they should do like The Walking Dead games or Loving Vincent style, touch up on the unfinished effects without spending millions on VFX
